Pires in trouble!

Robert Pires has been summoned to an official meeting in Paris on Monday by French Football Federation (FFF) president Claude Simonet to explain his recent comments about national team coach Raymond Domenech.

Simonet said: "We will listen to what he (Pires) has to say and we will discuss with him all the things we don't like in his behaviour. He will be heard soon, probably in the next few days."

Robert Pires' meeting with French Football Federation officials has been postponed for a week.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has requested the delay as the Gunners have a training session scheduled for the same day.

The talks will now take place on November 15 at FFF headquarters in Paris.

Pires wore a Puma shirt on a television show whilst on national team duty and French sponsors Adidas have demanded compensation.
