the question is now is that it? is it just going to be let lie as the 9 points given back to them or is anything further being done about it?
There are actually alot of legal options open to the Shels, main and most obvious would be to seek Judicial review of the decision to give back the 9 points, at which the high Court would almost defo find in their favour.
Others being getting an injunction from the High Ct or even go to the European Sport Arbitration Court
i could see the other clubs joining with them too.....

more points
Some people, including Ollie Byrne, are saying Rules are Rules. Fair enough. Those same people are also suggesting, in the main, that Pats should be docked a minumumof three points. If the rules are so clear we should be docked nine, end of story. If you allow us to "only" be docked three you open the door to other punishments. you can't then complain about the fact that it was a substantial fine instead of points being deducted.
Nowhere in the rules, and again "Rules are Rules", does it allow anything other than a nine point deduction. If you suggest 3 points or replay the gamnes, you are going outsie the rules and using common sense and therefore cannot, justifiably complain when the arbritrator decides to go with common sense by stating rules are rules.
btw....I know one Pats official who was disgusted with the fine and wanted to appeal that but was, very wisely, advised to "shut up"

Sure originally when ye just got a fine Dolan was moaning about it immeadiately.
I think what most people have been saying is take 3 points off for the first game but put down games 2 & 3 to the FAI not spotting the error.
