So Shamrock Rovers have the 4th highest budget in the League. Anyone know what their clubs weekly budgets are ?
I guess it could be in this order (as beginning of season) but maybe not.

Dude you are a fantasist if you think that table is anywhere near accurate! Limerick with a bigger budget than Rovers, Pat's, Cork, Derry? Shambolic Rovers have easily the biggest budget, and Pat's have some of the highest earners in the league!
I'd say PartySaint is probably on the ball...

Are we talking playing budget or overall club budget? Because with the amount of underage teams and various projects Limerick FC are bankrolling, they could be very high up. But in terms of playing budget, I would really doubt they are anywhere but mid-table.

At a guess i'd go for something similar to this with maybe us having a higher one than Derry. But as mentioned no one really knows. There are so many factors to bring in, is accommodation paid for for certain players, how many of the squad is made up of under 19's, goalscoring bonuses, clean sheet bonuses, appearance fees, are players paid per match or per week etc...

I might be being a bit harsh on Dundalk, looking at their squad I don't think any of their players will be demanding that high of a wage bar Towell and his wages are paid for by someone else.

Although very few of those players were well sought after by other clubs when they initially signed in 2013 - even the bigger names Rossiter and O'Donnell, were not in strong demand as they were both recovering from major injuries - and would probably have been on relatively modest money last season.

But a successful season and strong individual performances would obviously have changed the picture in relation to players salary expectations in 2014. There is no doubt that pay rises would have taken place in order to retain the players, although Stephen Kenny is on record as saying 3 players rejected higher offers elsewhere in order to try to better last seasons 2nd place.

Although Kenny released more players then replacements for 2014, the quality and presumable pay demands are higher.

In summary the pre-season player budget is probably well below those at Shamrocks, Pats and Sligo

Just on Towell, although he is the obvious stand out player and would be a higher scale than the rest, his wages are paid by DFC. I think the confusion may be the assistance the club got from the main sponsor Fyffes who came onboard to help cover his wages during last winter as he moved on to a 12 month contract.

I'd guess the top 4 are all similar with the Cork, Derry and Limerick being about the same. Bottom 5 clubs in the next tier.

There's nobody with a massive advantage on budget and all clubs have had to make choices to keep within theirs.

Corks playing budget surely took a bit of a jump during this transfer window, with the attendances they are getting they are bound to strengthen further and push in to the upper tier of the big spenders in due course. If Shams budget is 4th that is bound to change with Fenlon on board now, his own wages alone. If Pats do have one of the bigger budgets they are doing very well in relation to gate receipts so other commercial stuff must be top stuff (champ league money would fill a bit of a hole). Alas tis all speculation with most clubs wanting to play down what they are paying so that they dont have crazy demands from players. Croly's assessment on his (ex) clubs wage bill must be as wayward as his tactics.

Not at all. Ian was on a very good wage from what I heard. Probably around the same our best paid players I'd say. 3 trophies in 2.5 seasons ... he deserved it too.

Agree with you there. I didn't mind them going for a young manager who had a good reputation but the money spent on him was too much. The money he wasted was ridiculous too. Brought in some quality but turned away too much quality also.
