Sorry if this has been asked before, but is he Irish?

Eleven-a-side sort of give the impression that he is...

Don't see any suggestion in that article that he's Irish.
Born in Warrington as far as I know.

It's just that normally on eleven a side they only make comment on Irish players, and they mentioned him in the same breath as Richie Dunne, so I leapt to that conclusion...

Lat week it was Andy Johnson, now it's Stephen Jordan.
I think the reason that they mentioed him in the same breath as Dunne was becuase like Dunne he had an outstanding game at the back for City yesterday, both Niall Quinn and Gary Pallister said it was between the two of them for Man Of the Match.

To the best of my knowledge, he's English, see soccerbase here (http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=21771) no disrespect to any of the other underage players, but playing regularly in the reserves at Man City, and out on loan at Cambridge you'd imagine he would have been called up to the U-21's or at least approached by now
