Another opportunity to go top of the table and put pressure on Dundalk. While we have a decent enough record against UCD at Turners Cross in recent years they are still mentally our bogey team, John Caulfield was talking about it in this weeks press conference, hopefully the players aren't thinking about it.

Yeah UCD have won at most grounds over the years and can never be thought of as an easy win.. always one of those games where there isn't much of an atmosphere about so can be a bit tense.. looking for a good win and performance and I'd say setanta sports are banking on a cricket score cos it's a strange game to show

I think we've always performed quite well on TV, though we've only won the once (away to Drogheda in 2007).
With players coming back from injury - only Dean Clarke is still out now - some decent new signings from the inters, and wins over Sligo and Bradford in the last week, I'd be more confident of getting a result than in recent weeks.
But wouldn't be surprised to see Cork win ugly again. [/troll] :)

haha Stu we are certainly not the prettiest side in football terms, but it isn't entirely barbaric (we were subjected to much worse when Doolin was here). We'll happily tak eanugly ground out 1-0 win tonight, give me another next Friday against Bohs and it sets us up very well for the back to back home games against Dundalk and Pats. But I'm getting ahead of myself, a win tonight is the first step!

How are my posts "paranoid"? I called the Pats fans out on their bull**** time and time again and have been proven right.

So the European love-in is over, we can spit on each other again.
I hate playing UCD. I remember the Sunday games. 2pm kick off, us flying high and UCD struggling. We rarely won. It makes me fear the sight of their sky blue strip!

Strange bit of tinkering from Croly with that line-up of theirs. Look light in the middle but the likes of Finn and Waters should have enough to beat Bray.

Cork creating a few chances all the same Stu.

They are, yep. To be expected. Get to an hour in, bring on Ayman, sorted. I presume that's the plan.

Hard to see them holding out for the next 45.
Billy Dennehy is such a nice chap. Scores a goal and his first thought is to go over and start giving one of the opposition sh!t

Matter of time before Cork get the winner(s).
Meanwhile Rovers are ****ting their way to another 1-0 victory by the looks of it. Bray arguably had the better of the first half too.

Belhout must have been mouthing off to him beforehand. I've got a lot of time for that kind of response, frankly.

18/07/2014, 8:01 PM
Not red card in Cork, poor refereeing. If Belhout was trying to wind him up, fair play to Dennehy for his response.

I don't. You've scored your goal. Move on.

Reál Rovers running riot.

18/07/2014, 8:08 PM
Definite red. Belhout had a bit of a smile at Dennehy after the goal, so I'd say he was telling him he'd fluff the peno or something. Harmless stuff it seemed

Awful goal to give away. Shame after the work put in.
I think Mustafa, the sub, is our first ever black player. Scored the winner against Bradford.

Not Mustafa; mea culpa. Mustafa wore the 23 on Tuesday. Khaleed Simon.

18/07/2014, 8:53 PM
"Super keeper" O Donnell, is he from Donegal Stu ?
pineapple stu
18/07/2014, 8:55 PM
Been super. But has still has his two or three brain farts. If he gets those out of his game, he's back in England.
Got to rue the penalty. I know Cork have been better since about the 20 minute mark, but between O'Donnell's performance (which we're used to) and Cork being wasteful in front of goal, we could have gotten something with eleven.
pineapple stu
18/07/2014, 8:55 PM
Yeah, he's Donegal, wonder

Awful to lose to a goal like that but when you're under so much pressure someone is generally going to lose concentration at some stage
pineapple stu
18/07/2014, 9:00 PM
Got the ball maybe? A lickle snick?
He had his brain farts earlier; hoped that was it.
Gained two goals on Bray. Played ok. Ayman back. Can't really complain much. Same as most of our other tv appearances - played well, decent game overall, lost.

18/07/2014, 9:08 PM

Mark O Sullivan is on fire. I tried telling Bluewhitearmy and Marinobohs a few months back he was the top Intermediate player for a few years now he's playing in LOI and is THE find of the season.
