It's only Monday but I've managed to book half a day in work and I can't wait for what will be in my opinion the game of the season in terryland park on Friday night. For me this has a 3-2 scoreline written all over it and I just have that feeling Dave Sully will bag 2 of hopefully 3 and level up Richie's record. Vocal away support expected as ever. What's everyone else's thoughts?

I heard Stephen Rice is suspended, does anyone know if Rhys Gorman is ok, his head should be healed by now, so I hope he plays at least some of the game on Friday, he was the difference the last time, sublime pass to Sully for the winner

Rice didn't get booked vs Harps as far as I can see so I don't think he will be suspended. I think it's usually the next game after your fourth yellow that the ban kicks in but I could be wrong.

Dont understand how Rice could be suspended as he has only received 3 yellow cards this season, 1 v wexford youths, harps and rovers b... maybe the person ment that if he was booked in galway he would miss the shels game, i think wille tyrrell is suspended as he got another yellow v harps... as for rhys he said he was 100% earlier today

I was told today that Rice apparently IS suspended don't know why that is, Tyrell also suspended afaik. Tyrell probably wouldn't have started after Glenn's winner in Harps but he's a great option to have as showed in the first game up here so it's a blow but Rice is a complete blow as he is the heart of our midfield. Rhys should be back but whether he's fit for 90 or not I don't know so big night ahead for Salmo and as ever hel live up to expectation I'm sure. Just feel wel lose Ricer's experience and 'how to kill a game'' attitude but hopefully Sulli and Flynner can help us in that regard. Draw isn't a disaster as long as we beat Shels next week which I'm confident about especially with a fully available squad with any luck.

He was booked in the drawn game in Cobh, according to the LOI's website. That would make it 4 for the season. Strange then that he wasn't suspended for the Harps game.

I heard it (Rice suspension)from a Galway guy, he is usually correct when he says things like that, I thought he knew what he was talking about, must have been winding me up, sorry.

I'm a bit suspicious of the suspension list given to media by the FAI this time round. By your count, Rice is due suspension, and Finn Harps Damien McNulty should also be due suspension, but isn't on the list. Harps have been caught out in the past by this, with the end of season fiasco between Limerick and Monaghan a few years ago where Monaghan were awarded 3 points after Harps had allegedly fielded a suspended player, media list had no name down, but apparently the club should have got a separate suspension list.

An amended suspension list has been issued with Rice on it.

Will rhys be fit for a full 90 though? I agree hel go 442 and set up solid, probably play a counter attacking game and hope to catch them late like we did in the first meeting. For me TC will select

Hunt,
Havo, Sulli, Flynn, G.O'connor
Mulhall, K.O'connor, Salmo, Shannon
Sully, Shaw

I don't agree with playing Jamie out there at all and I don't think K.Connor has the legs to play the game Rice does but hel certaintly keep the ball for us leaving Salmo to do his box to box job so hopefully we are not too badly effected.

dont think he will put mulhall on the wing, is o brien not available to play now, but i suppose you never know with tc!

Yeah O'Brien was on the bench against Harps. I've never seen him play so no idea whether he's a central player or a wide player. Or if he's any addition, but I do recall Willie Tyrell praising him in an interview in pre season.

Is Don out for tonight's game? I don't see him in any of peoples predicted line ups.

Great performance tonight. Centre backs were immense and Salmo's goal was a cracker. Shaw took his goal brilliantly and good to see Don get on the scoresheet with a nice finish. Roll on next weekend.

In the words of TC we are really motoring now, on a side now good to see TC acknowledge the fans last night and the fans responding with a chorus of TC's red and black army I think it's safe to say that's the first time in a long time that's happened. We absolutely bossed Galway all night long and only ever looked like coming home with 3 points. Dons header was a belter and hopefully that gives him the confidence to push on now and same goes to Gary Shaw for his superb run and finish. As for mark salmon that was the best strike I've ever seen live at a football match. Huge credit to the traveling support who sang all night and got right behind the team. Roll on Saturday!

Better video of all three goals here. Gary Shaw's was actually excellent play from him. Don's was a terrific header too.
