Looked like he went straight into the side Cian Bolger's expense per Flashscore, although I didn't know he could play centre half.

After a playing career at Leicester City, Leeds United, Swindon Town, Notts County, Bradford City and Lincoln, Sheehan was Assistant Coach to Nathan Jones at Luton and Southampton. He has now been appointed Assistant Head Coach to Michael Duff at Swansea, along with ex-Northern Ireland international Martin Paterson (Martin Paterson and Alan Sheehan to assist Michael Duff at Swansea City - BBC Sport (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66046846) 28 June).

Since Sheehan took over as caretaker manager, Swansea have won 7, drawn 2 and lost 2, gaining 23 points. If the season had started at the same time, Swansea would be third in the EFL, behind Burnley (29) and Leeds - who have played 12 - on 25 points. (Sam Armitage, Footballleagueworld.co.uk, yesterday). However, former Swansea and Wales midfielder Owain Tudor-Jones thinks that Sheehan shouldn't automatically be appointed on a long-term contract and that the club's American owners should make a wider search (Swansea City - BBC Sport (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/swansea-city))
