from official site under Sami story

This is the first of a number of important signings the Club will make over the coming weeks in preparation for next season.

my opinion -

This close season will probably be the most turbulent ( signings / releasings ) in the clubs history.

No sure if I am looking forward to it. Full Time / Part Time - debate will rage on.

Out :- Rogers, Bird, Flanagan, Grey, O'Connor , Myler , Cronin, Quinless, Lynch, Sullivan ..... provided they are all out of contract or a buyer comes in -

Take it as Sami is Finnish there will be no problems with Work Permit ?

I know its going to be hard to bare but this was going to happen sooner rather than later. At some stage the team that got us into the Premier was going to be broken up as some players are not up to the standard. It is a pity as they have done us proud but life goes on and we'll just have to wait and see what direction the club goes.

We'll all moan if the likes of Rogers or Danny leaves but if we are 10 points clear at the top of the table next season with 3 games to go I can't see too many people complaining then.

Keep the faith!

I'll be slightly sickened if we let half of them go to bring supposedly better players in. Danny and Stevie are one of, if not the best central defensive partnerships in the league and will only get better. These two could definatly be our bedrock for a league title and I would include others in that too, like Rogers and Flano.

I 100% agree with ye Coltron. It would be an absolute disaster losing either Danny or Gray and let some other team sign them up for nothing. Doolo must keep these 2.

All doesnt seem to be well in the camp also if recent reports are true and id hate to see any player leave because of a 'disagreement' with doolo.

He should keep Rogers aswel.

Flano and Myler must stay also (there'd be uproar on the terraces if andy left imo as he's such a huge crowd favourite - as are most of the above!!)

gotta agree, it's worrying that we are willing to let such talented players leave the club.Saw gary in town the other day he looked worried and unhappy but that could have been because he was shopping with his girlfriend

good sign for drogheda when we can attract a player like this to us. This lad is giving up champions league football next year so thats a measure of what the club can offer.

Heard that Rovers have a whole rake of players out of contract at the end of this season. Something like 14 of them. Also Hawkins is out of contract too.

It said on the txts from the club that we are in the hunt for Webb and Lynch of Bohs? Rumours, rumours, rumours.

According to Saturdays Irish Sun the deal has already been done with Webb and Lynch....apparently Bohs cant match the "monopoly money" being offered by the Drogs.

Webb would be a good signing, sseing as we don't really have a left back in the squad, but Lynch? Useless player if ever there was one, and as a famous man once said - he would be no addition to our squad!
