does anyone really want to see cork win the league, i don't for one.

i couldn't listen to dolan or the rebel FCA.

so come on truth, who would u rather see win the the league cork or shels.

poll and cork fans leave it to the rest of us to decide this one, just like we can decide the league this week :p

You really would want to get that chip seen to Max, its growing out of control. Your anti Cork City rantings have gotten so boring.

well i always wish longford well i like them a lot. its up to the clubs outside of the pale to challenge the dublin bias that exists in our league

but max obviously has a chip. let him off

once again i'd ask people other than cork fans so give their views.

here goes gary, i wanna see cork win nothin, thats my own view. but i would like to see if others agree or if there is more of a feeling that members would like to see all three trophies outseide dublin for the 1st time in a long time.

so once again, what yee think .

good point pablo, but yee lot will have to get rid of the waterford chip before all the country clubs work together, evidence of this can be seen on the watherford message board last week.

BTW i have nothing against cork as a club, hey i even took photos at 2 of ur games for ur web site !!! its ur boss and the ego and attitude of some of ur fans, that makes me want yee to fail......sorry :)

its called rivalry. the fact they have improved is great....bigger crowds and a fixture to look forward to other than the visit of one of the Dublin clubs

it'd be good for Lonford to have that too.

next year well have Derry and Harps, all great for the league

ok fine. but peety differences should be left out of this debate. waterford for all our rivalry improve football in munster for the good. as do we.

now you dont hear that every day!

wouldnt a strong Athlone be great for football in the midlands?

I honestly don't know who I'd prefer to win it.A non Dublin club winning the league for the first time in a good few years would be good but on the other hand we'd never hear the end of it if Cork City won it.No doubt, they'd be the best team ever to win the Eircom League if they won it to add to the best supported club title they already have.Their carry on on the Waterford United independent site after we lost the Cup Final in the last 5 minutes was over the top so I'd say a lot of Blues won't want Cork to win it.

This is one voice in Longford hoping we beat Shels and Cork sneak the league.
Why? because everyone had the league awarded to Shels months ago and now suddenly there is a doubt. Wouldn't it be nice if Shels finished up with nothing after all the furore about European performances etc. :p

It seems that Max is obsessed with the mighty Rebel Army but sure who wouldn't be obsessed with by far the biggest club in the country.

You should really make more of an effort to hide your inferiority complex Max, it makes you look weak and vunerable! ;)

Good thread Max, I shouted for Cork in Tolka last Friday for two reasons.

All the premature talk of Shels becoming the next Rosenbourg really got under my skin.
20,000 euro still due for Alan Cawley.

In fairness, one of the main people behind that was Pat Dolan! novody from Shels ever mentioned anything about becoming the new Rosenborg.

Fair point Slash, I can't disagree with you. I was thinking more of the feature writers in the papers who were writing this before the two Deportive games. At the time, and up untill a few weeks ago, it looked like Shels might win the league by 10 or more points. I'm not too put out over who wins the premier but I'm cheering on Cork because they're making sure that it's a close race.

Have to say that i would always have wanted Cork to win the league ahead of shels, but as max said the attitude of some online cork fans on our board was just plain stupid. I know that it is a small few, but rivalry is one thing, the crap that was left on our board after a game that had NOTHING to do with Cork might have just turned me to go for shels, also looking at the coefficients at the mo shels would be seeded in CL in europe and cork wouldnt :D For the mean time can teams please beat Bohs and Drogs in their remaining games so we can get the inter two bob cup spot

As i said, a small few Cork fans posted a load of crap on our site just like with all clubs, have a minority of ****s who are just out to act the prats (example some person came onto our site and voted over 100 times for a certain thing, quite sad) Anyway there are a few wahurfurt fans on here and i myself never said that the inter two bob was worthless and would much rather have won the cup and finished 5th than lose the final and finish 3rd. My point was that a minority of cork fans have made wanting our munster neighbours to win the league hard, as is the topic.

Éanna

thats a fairly reasonable point I guess. It is ironic though that the very people who were laughing at our achievements in europe are now hoping against hope that they get to do likewise.
