You would be much better off getting a firewire card for your computer - especially if its a desktop machine.

I saw a USB to IDE patch somewhere last week.
Basically you can lamp an IDE device onto it and stick the USB into your machine. Great for scanning corrupt hard disks on a good machine.
The Firewire to USB doesn't make enough sense for someone to produce one though.

Firewire Cards (http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_61) are as cheap as chips!

Apple have one for use with the ipod, not sure if it works with other stuff though.

try apple.com - check that it is what you are looking for - I have been known to be wrong in the past (just once mind you!!!) :p
