Anyone got any views on how they see the super league going this year??

This is my preview from another thread posted in February.........
I'd say a lot of teams will struggle to field strong teams compared to previous seasons.
Westport have an aging team and don't have much coming through.
Likewise with castlebar - a lot of their good young players have gone elsewhere albeit to a higher level. They might get a few from ballyheane & snugboro.
Ballina should be ok, and see them and erris as contenders for the title.
This year might be too soon for Manulla and their youngsters. Will be interesting to see if they can hold onto their 'imports' and progress them through to Junior football.
I can see charlesstown and fahy being the surprise packets this year.

I previously posted this in another thread but it's valid for this league also, What's the story with the 18:30 kick offs on a Saturday evening, a bit of a joke. Grand if yer at home but anyone having to travel to away games this is a bit of inconvienience with lads having to try and get time off work.

There have been 18.30 kick-off for many a season. don't think they can be put back any later due to time it gets dark (go to 7pm in a few weeks time I think). Probably not possible to play all games on Sunday due to number of referee's available. Does make it very difficult as more and more lads are working Saturday's and not as easy to get time of work as it used to be but hard to see any other solution.

Manila started well, only a 2 minute slip versus snf and they'd be 3 from 3.... Snf 6 from 9 aswel will be delighted, Snf over reliant on 4 or 5 class players if any of them were to get injured I'd fear for them..... Have Celtic improved enough to make a big challenge for super league??

I must say i'm very surprised on the poor start Erris have made, some people had them down as potential title contenders??

Have the draws for the next round of divisional cups taken place yet?

Westport disposed of another promoted side in devastating fashion at the weekend. Top 3 sides are miles ahead of the rest. Could be a great scrap between any of 6 sides to avoid the drop.

Celtic and ballina have recruited a striker each from an unnamed club in super league both happening on June the 1st...don't really want to mention names but yeel put 2 and 2 together, both very good strikers

Brilliant performance by Charlestown Athletic today. 2-0 down after 15 minutes (against the run of play) and fought back to beat Ballina 3-2. After a mixed start to the season and getting to grips with the SL hopefully they can produce these performances on a muchrregular basis.

Fair play, good to see clubs challenge the status quo.
