The Kennedy cup set up seems a prime target for so called bigger clubs to poach players from. What really annoys me the most about it is that the Mayo coaching staff encourage players to make these moves. Makes you think twice about sending players into these trials.
Totally agree with you, when we brought this up, they completely denied this.

typical moaning out of round tower. Be happy for your players. They are probably receiving superior coaching and will return to ye in years to come as better players. happenes every team get over it. even the bigger teams always have somebody even bigger trying to sign lads.

Typical coming from Conn Rangers, is Knockmore not big enough for players so ye have to go to other clubs for players. As for getting better coaching its very debateable, if Mayo academies coaches continue advising players from so called smaller clubs to go and join bigger clubs, what will happen is that clubs will stop sending players. As for players coming back to us, it has not happen so far.

No conn rangers player has ever been told by Mayo Management to leave to join a bigger club, Killala have every excuse why their best players leave, we never approached LT to join us, and PM junior knows that because he rang LT mother..... Plus all Ardaghs best players usually play for conn rangers like James carr/William Wallace/Stephen Rochford , duno how ye got LT in first place ;)

Do you deny that CR or you tried to get one of our players AOB to sign for CR last year. Any player can sign for our club, we have a number of good soccer players playing for our club. Did ye not try to get him to sign for CR last year. LT mother was born in the Killala area and went to NS school in the Killala area before moving to Ardagh.

Here's an interseting Kennedy Cup swuad from a few years ago (2007).
Interesting to see how many are still playing soccer and/or other sports??
Mayo panel:
Evan Regan, Daniel Gorman (still Ballina Town (both Ballina Town);
Fergal Murphy, Patrick Ward (both Ballinrobe Town);
Sean Kilcoyne (Ballyheane);
Aaron Reilly (Castlebar Celtic);
Michael Corrigan, Martin Owens, Sean Quinn (all Charlestown Athletic);
Conor Brennan, Ryan Quirke, Andrew Shelly (all Claremorris);

Kieran McCormack, John Mountney now at DUNDALK, Michael Pielow (all Kiltimagh/Knock United);
Luke Timmiss (Manulla);
Cormac Rushe (Urlaur United);
Jamie Fallon (still Westport), Aaron Harper (both Westport United).

Not easy, is any of the parents former players of the club, when the players register, if they are still under 18 years their parent or guardian will have to sign there registration form. Write to or contact every parent asking them to help out, GOOD LUCK with it as very often parents drop the kids off and collect them when its over.
