I was just wondering if any block-bookers have received booking forms for the up-coming Ireland friendlies?

I haven't received my own just yet, but I know some people who have received their's yesterday.

The form covers the next two games - Croatia and Portugal - in the friendlies. Block bookers have to purchase the tickets for these games, otherwise you lose your block booking for the rest of the games.

Having said that, there should be plently of tickets around, as the terraces will be open behind each goal. Like in the past, I'm sure the FAI will put these tickets on sale through ticketmaster.

Yep, I got mine the other day.
Should be handy to pick up a few for the Croatia
game, hard to know with the Portugal match!

you will have to buy them or you lose out for the remaining games.

I would buy them as it says you will lose your allocation on the form

You should definitly buy them or else you might miss out on games against France and Switzerland. Got my tickets for the friendlies booked today. One of the hotties in the ticket office sorted it out for me. ;)

I doubt waiting list people will get tickets for either of these matches - not the French match because it's France and since the group is tight, the last game against the Swiss might require us to get a result, hence a guaranteed sellout… :(

According to the FAI, those people on the waiting list will get forms for the upcoming two friendlies in the next couple of days. Apparently there was a problem with the printers, hence the delay.

Yes, I sincerely doubt we will get tickets to either of those games, but am still hoping against hope. Hopefully we will get tickets for the Israel game though.

Bunch of clowns - problem with the printers - is that a new excuse or have they just emplyed someone from Iarnrod Eireann?

Just checked my account this morning, E60 has been debited without my consent - I presume that means I am getting two bucket seat tickets for the Croatia friendly, but surely they shouldn't be doing that without contacting individuals first? Highly unlikely that they'll do the same for the French and Swiss matches, is it? Can't do anything or they can just threaten loss of placing on the waiting list... damn cheeky though!

Well, they never charged me for my Faroe Islands tickets, so I guess they were on Fran! :D

However, they charged my card as well today, so i'm hoping it is for the upcoming croatia game, and not the previous Faroes game. They took €60 from it, which suggests it's the payment for the Faroes game, as there are no bucket seats for friendlies. It should be €40 for 2 tickets for a friendly, or have they increased this? Will there be bucket seats for the Croatia game?

Don't think there's bucket seats for the Croatia game. They told me that the East Terrace wont have bucket seats for the game. Strange, seeing that the bucket seats have been in place in Lansdowne since before the game against Cyprus.

The rugby team are playing South Africa the previous Saturday so the IRFU would want the bucket seats removed for that anyway.

Tickets for these games are on sale on an individual basis through ticket master .... looks like tickets in the east terrace only 25 yoyo's each

Yeah I bought four for the Portugal game, can't be arsed waiting for the FAI to write to me. I joined that bloody fan club thing a few weeks ago, they took the money alright but nothing in the post, not even the confirmation email they said they would send. What a joke.

Only problem with that is that you will more than likely find yourself off the waiting list if you don't buy the tickets from them when they write out.

I sent an email to FAI ticket office asking if poeple on the waiting list would get offered tickets. Got a reply saying that people who had previoulsy been offered tickets would and that the offers had been posted out late last week or early this week and should have been received by Tuesday. I didn't receive anything despite having my place on the waiting list confirmed a month ago. These guys really are a joke. Time to get some professionals running this organisiation.

If you are only on the waiting list a month, that is probably why they didn't offer you tickets. There are over 1000 people on the waiting list at last count, and they probably only offered tickets to people that have been on it for a while??

I have been on the waiting list for 8 years (somewhere about no. 50 at last count). I asked the FAI to confirm that I was still on the list because the last offer of tickets I received was for the Brazil series of games and I didn't receive the offer for the Cyprus/Bulgaria/Faroes games. When I contacted them about that they said it was a mistake and I should have got an offer of tickets. Did they rectify the mistake this time around - did they fcuk. As I said a shower of incompetents. If I ran my business like they do theirs I'd be bankrupt within a month. Lucky for them the government has bailed them out in the past. Looks like that might be coming to an end pretty soon. If that is what it takes to get rid of the gobshiites in there (hello mr. delaney and mr corcoran) then so be it.

I still haven't got my tickets and I'm a block booker. After a couple of days ringing them they finally rang me back today and said they posted them out last Friday. Talk about cutting it fine.

If you still haven't got your tickets, give the FAI a call, they'll send you a fax which will allow you to get into the ground (before 18:30) and you'll be issued a duplicate ticket and escorted to your seats.

Phoned them up, left a message (I don't think the ticket office in there ever answers their phone, and they screen all the calls through their answering machine?) and they got back to me saying there would be two tickets in Merrion Square waiting for me. Happy days, bring on the red cards! :D

4tothefloor

I had to collect the tickets that I get from the waiting list from Merrion Square on Tuesday. They didn't post the originals out on time so they had to make duplicates. By the time I got them, I didn't have enough time to sell them on, so ended up losing out on 40E (already had stand tickets). Yer man in the FAI had a bundle of envelopes so it happened to alot of people. The FAI are a complete joke. The ticket office is a perfect example of badly the whole operation is run. Ringing the office is a complete waste of time, as they won't answer the phones. Thus, you can't get an instant\quick response to a query. Instead you have to wait 3 - 4 hours, sometimes days, for a response, that's if you are lucky enough to get one!

Is it no wonder Fran Rooney's door was always closed? The staff probably drove him up the wall :D
