Shamrock Rovers Football Club have announced that businessman Conor Clarkson has become a significant shareholder in the club.

It is understood Mr Clarkson has put over €9 million into the Hoops.

In welcoming Mr. Clarkson as a shareholder, Chairman Tony Maguire said that this was a very significant day for the club as it paves the way for the ultimate completion of the Stadium facility in Tallaght.

Further announcements will follow over the next few weeks.

Yeah, comepletely agree.
We need them there for us to hate!
And I still believe that after Cork City, Rovers have more potential than any other Irish football club.

hope to see the new ground finished,

(then shels can go over there and give the shams a right hammering :p)

There doesnt seem to be much information about the stadium though. I know there seems to be one stand there but will it go all around the ground ?

let them have their stadium and that but i dont want them buying the league as shels are trying to.
