I bet Kenny is regretting not following through and dropping Cherrie. What was he at?

Gartland's touch was terrible but god knows where Cherrie was going.

Dundalk look vulnerable to Pats long ball game. Do Pats play long ball football this season or have they identified this as a weakness in Dundalk?

Not a bad strike from the free kick for the Dundalk goal, but the lack of coordination between wall and goalie left an entry point larger than an airplane hanger.
Poor crowd for the inchicore game, isn't a 7pm ko a bit too early? it's even too early for me and I'm just catching it on RTE.

Bolger straight red, he was walking as soon as he got up, no argument.

Can't believe Richardson and Collins didn't seem to think it was all that bad. Flew in, had to go.

Fortunately the red card tackle doesn't seem to have done lasting damage.
Stupid tackle by Bolger considering he was already on a yellow just when Pats were beginning to get some pattern and possession going.

I think Peter just agrees with anything Damo says.

Pats looking more threatening with 10 men. They could have been down to 10 earlier when Brennan applauded the referee for booking him.

Commentators don't seem to realise that "He won the ball" or any variation thereof is not in the rulebook.

Pats look like a wet paper bag after going down to 10.
The ref is doing alright, he wasn't going to be too fussed by Brennan who had lost his head after shipping a sore tackle.

I wasn't wrong ;) The ref ignored the first as a good ref should in that context. But a good ref would not ignore the píss being taken of him.
Absolutely stupid action by Brennan, playground antics.

Pats fairly lost the discipline in the end. Stupid of Brennan getting sent off after the whistle. Delighted with that win and very impressed with our performance. Bar the last 20 of the first half we dominated them.

It was important to win at Richmond after the last disappointing outing in Inchicore, that hoodoo is buried now, if we can just take some points off Limerick this season.....

Liam Buckley, fair play to him for his post match assessment. He could have griped, he was even goaded to have a gripe but chose not to.

As rte player was fooked didnt get to see live match - but by the sounds of things its a pity the cameras are not in Turners Cross following their Shams being hammered in front of a sellout crowd

We fell asleep after going 3 up but then woke up at 3-2 (hope we learnt that lesson). We could have been 6 or more only skinner was fantastic in nets for athlone.

Athlone where not great but I understand they has injuries.

Fabio is looking as sharp as ever. McNally great at the back and good performance from Walsh . Very happy with the performance (except for the 10min sleep fest ).

Second in the league :)

The second half display by Dundalk tonight was just superb, thought we completely overran Pats and showed we are a serious side. Maybe 4-1 was a little flattering, and that was def a peno in the first half and probable sending off for O'Donnell but it was still some performance to come back from 0-1 down. I don't think Bolger sending off was a huge effect to the outcome as we were already 2-1 up then. And he deserved to go by the way. Brennan for all his talent is a liability at times, his stupidity after ft means he will miss min 2 games, crazy stuff.

Drogs have had a decent start, no doubt about that, but they have played 4 sides already that will finish in the bottom half. They def look to be an improved side on last year, but there is a long way to go.

Cork are the pacesetters, some win tonight. Great start.

What about Sligo, is it too early to talk of a crisis?
