It should be announced tomorrow evening cause the worst of the storm will actually be gone then so they'll know. What's it like exiles??
Pretty horrible at the minute and due to get worse 2m.
There is a real possibility that it might you know.
esp with Tolka next to the Tolka.

Ya that's what I was thinking, if the river overflows - it's a gonner
They have upgraded the flood defenses since the last time Tolka was flooded. See here (http://www.dublincity.ie/services/Tolka_Flood_Study/Tolka_Flood_Study.htm#protection)
I think the forecast for friday is quite good but lets just hope the damage isn't already done by then.
I'll be absolutely gutted if this doesn't go ahead.
Keep hoping people.

True. But I live in the area and there hasn't been a flood since to test the changes...Around the Tolka is usually pretty bad when the city floods.
I have my fingers crossed though because the momentum is with City at the minute.

a bit of wind and rain never hurt anybody

wouldn't surprise me at all. might suit shels if it was called off. and we all know that they do what suits them. I wouldn't say ollie would pour buckets of water on the pitch, he's probably just stuck a pump in the river

Its been pi$$ing down here for hours now , knowing how bad the drainage at Tolka is I'd say any more rain tomorrow and the game looks pretty dodgy.
Have $hel$ any plans for a pitch inspection early on Friday?
I'd say our game against Bohs is also in doubt as United Park is under several inches of o2 at the moment.
lets it wont be cancelled. Positive Mental Attitude and we r goin to win

Well at the moment about two miles from Tolka the ground is dry outside. Doesnt look half as threatening as it did yesterday.

if the game is called off, with the numbers we have going up, i propose the first military excursion by the PROC. we take the four courts, dublin castle and Croke Park, for a kick about for a laugh. :ball: :D

I'd hope it is all the time. It'd be fairly hard to play there otherwise. :D
Weather's fine in Dublin today so far, I can even see a bit of sun! The ground is wet-ish but not nearly bad enough to call a match off.
