First off all im not really a betting man but for big, rare, events im tempted to stick a tenner down.

I think Bush is fairly likely to win the election... and the odds arent great so im tempted to put bets on who'll win particular states rather than the whole thing. Am looking at the following...

Kerry to win Ohio - 11/10.
Its an industrial state, which has suffered from the economic downturn. I think Kerry's "no overseas outsourcing" stance will give him the edge.

Bush to win Florida - 8/13.
With the number of retired people (who usually vote for the more "conservative" option) and the brother-govoner connection I can see Bush taking Florida.

Now the dodgy ones...

Bush to win Pennsylvania - 7/4.
Its another swing state, but it has conservative roots, Quakers, Amish etc so I can see an advantage for Bush.

Kerry to win Colorado - 7/2.
He's was born there, so I've a hunch he'll win that state.

If ive done my maths right, and I probably havent, a £10 accumulator on that will bring in around £400.

Anyway any tips ? advice ? opinions etc ?
