On the bench for the Blades against Fulham tonight. Seems to be a very good prospect.

He's fairly highly rated by Paul Doolin, so it'll be interesting to watch his progress.

Looks like a young Jeremy Beadle.

Dimaio got his first senior goal on the weekend for Chesterfield. He seemed to have dropped off the radar at Sheffield United before going on a free transfer to Chesterfield at the start of this month. I do find it odd that Sheffield United would bring him through their youth system only to let him go on a free to a team in the same league as them, where he makes an immediate impact. Did they miss something about his ability? For our sake, let's hope so and that he establishes his career and moves forward in the near future.

It makes little or no sense to me either. He got a few games under his belt at the age of 18 yet nothing last or this year.

Just noted looking on his Wikipedia page that he was born in Chesterfield so maybe he has some family there and it was an easy move.

In the interests of pedantry, I have to mention that he spells his first name with 2 N's.

I do like me some pedantry. Extra 'n' added

Just read on Chesterfield's site that his cross set up the first goal and referred to him as being "impressive" on his home debut. Let's hope he keeps it up and becomes a prospect for the next qualifying campaign and/or beyond.

Tets, change the title to "Impressive" Connor Dimaio.
