Did anyone see him? I thought he came accross very well. When he quit originally from the League I thought he was just moaning about somthing small. Looks like he was in the right and the FAI's books are not in order at all.

Yes Brendan was good on prime time. He has been a big loss to soccer in this country, not only from the club but from the League and indeed the Association as a whole.

Not surprised the FAI books are not in order. Treasurer John Delaney when he was with Waterford United , presided over the squandering of the IRĀ£400,000 raised by the share issue a few years ago. At one point under Mike Flanagan they had 33 signed professional players but no reserve team, and they let go the two local men running the Under 21 side , Mick Madigan and Alan Barry.

A lot of what is going on in Merrion square is down to the remnants of the Louis Kilcoyne supporters still there. For our younger supporters he was the Chairman of Shamrock Rovers that presided over the selling of their ground for property development. After that he got elected President of the FAI.
Says a lot about the people running the Association, that Turkeys would vote for Xmas but there it is. He was also allegedly implicated in allowing World Cup tickets get into the hands of touts at Italia 90.
