Athlone u19s heading perilously close to the bottom three. Has this anything to do with the removal of their very successful management team who guided them into the elite division? It is very important that they stay in this division in order to attract the best players from the midlands. It shows that their is a pathway for young players to play at the highest standard in the country and more importantly to serve the first in the future now thatAthlone have returned to the Premier Division.

Disasterous result on Saturday, Drogheda scoring 7 without reply. What is going on with this team?

As well as losing the management team, they've been without Eoin McCormack since the start of November. Albeit he's only one player but he's a big loss.

I didn't see Saturday's line-up, but against Cobh the week before they were without the regular 'keeper. Replacement is a bit dodgy to say the least, he was in at the start of the season as well.

Patrick Dunican (Athlone Town) in home based Irish U18 squad to play a double header v Wales in Waterford Feb 16/17. Is he the under 19 keeper? Nothing on Town website about this?

He is the regular 'keeper, who was missing for the Cobh game at least.
