View Full Version : Winsor Park and a tri-colour
Build a wall along the border and leave the likes of Paisley, Peter Robinson and Frank Carson up to their own devices.
Frank lives in the south.....you better put a gate in that wall.......

Certainly in my experience, the Belgian Flemish nationalists - despite the same language, and in parts, religion - hate the Dutch with a vengeance and are like Basques seeking independence rather than an anschluss).
interstingly belgium was part of netherlands until it split under the treaty of london in 1839.however full separation ie french speakers joining france wasnt permitted.the powers at the time didnt want to make france more powerful. the flemish speakers (closely rleated to dutch) were catholic.basically the netherlands was split between protestant north and catholic south. though it could have easily been split in 3.or even an alternative 2
as for unionists. if the antionalist voted for a 32 county ireland id bet my house on a civil war. though concessions would be needed to the unionists (even switching the capital to belfast from dublin might be needed) and doubtlessly given there would still be a large element bent on mayhem. youd probably need the un!

This topic raises its head again, but with the Setanta draw
tomorrow and with some eL club having to visit Winsor Park
in the next few months. So will ye be bringing your tri-colours
along with your other flags? And how many away fans do
you think ye will bring?

This is a football site, a site to discuss football, not politics or religion!

Well I would think around 150 / 200 to windsor park. I do intend to have my flag on display INSIDE the ground in the same way as i do in Tolka Park, Stade de beaujorais (nantes) or tunners cross unless for security reasons we are asked(not told) to not display them.

I think common sense is the order of the day, Francis. If you're going to support Norn Iron, then get a yourself an ulster flag, wave it for all it's worth, sing your heart out and have a great time.
Ulster is consists of nine counties the last time I've checked. Does that mean that Northern Ireland fans will be singing for Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan aswell?

If you are told not to display it you'll not be displaying it......
Otherwise you'll face watching the matches on a TV in the Lisburn Road
The Belfast Derry City SC plan to be in attendance for the Stetanta Cup games

You will be able to bring and display the Irish Tricolour inside Windsor don't worry about offending anyone, as long as the flags aint got paramilitary slogans on them then no one shall be offended!
