"Post rubbished because of the usual childish crap from Partizan. If you want to wind people up at least come up with something more original than "****ies" and "Fat Pack" etc."

I'd like to compliment Colm for dumping Partizans post. I may be from the same county, but reading the same thing over and over does get tiresome.

So as not to create double standards, I hope you continue this good work; perhaps starting with people who don't come up with something more original than "Waaaaherfur" and "Ratnolds"
Maybe then, you don't have to wade through the crap to read the post.

i was actually quite amused by paritizan's post.

We were simply better than the teams we played so therefore we won our way to the final and so enter Lansdowne Road come Sunday.

this was despite alan reynolds saying that Rockmount were "robbed" and "should have won" in the rsc, and that they "didn;t deserve " to be in the semi finals.

ah well....

Have you not come to expect this sort of rubbish for little 14 year olds who once they've spammed foot.ie move on to look for porn

There is a big difference between the use of derogatory words which mis-pronounce place names, and abusing Pat Dolan by reference to his weight. Calling somebody fat is unacceptable in any forum, IMO.
Furthermore, the use of uncomplimentary nicknames for people is usually because they have done something to earn it, in somebody's opinion. The foot.ie forum is rich with examples of this. Where else would you find the quality of wit that coined Can't Pass for CP O'Brien, or Spillage for Noel Spillane?
And what about the clubs' names? Some of the creations are sublime. My favourite is CHF for Continuity Home Farm, or Dublin City to give them their present name.
I agree that some of the nicknames and mispronounciations are sometimes silly, and are sometimes harsh (as in Reynolds' case). But I reckon it adds to the creativity in the forum.
Noby, what would you have the mods do? Where would the binning stop? You could end up with a real dryb4lls forum if they acted like total censors.

FPB,
I agree with you. The point I was trying to make was if mods are going to start binning posts with unoriginal windups (the reason given), there are a hell of a lot of other inane posts that should be winging their way to the bin.

The post came from the el general section, where there are plenty of waaaherfur (sp) $hel$ CHF etc references. But **** is unacceptable.

Ok. I'll change my point to: in the interest of fairness could the el general mod treat references to his club the same as any other.

I don't really care about "****", I think it's stupid but it doesn't bother me.
However, I will not tolerate anyone calling Pat Dolan "Fat Dolan".

If you don't like it, tough. Partizan is acting the muppet all over the site anyway and I'd probably be quicker to bin his posts than I would with more sensible posters.
He's lucky I didn't bin the post where he condoned the bottle attack on Dolan.

I

We at Home Farm-Fingal-Everton-Dublin City FC object to this childish reference to us ;)

Right, so it's okay to call Reynolds a Rat (which he clearly is), and not call Dolan Fat (which he clearly is). No logic there....

You didn't clarify that the reason for binning the post was the jibe at 'big boned' Dolan

Reynolds can easily choose not to act the scumbag.

Is that the best you can come up with? FFS

Whether he can help it or not is nothing to do with people calling him 'Fat'

And, yes he can help it. Just ask Buster Bloodvessel

Have you not witnessed Dolo on a "burger run" at a game that he's there scouting/as a spectator? If you think he couldn't lose weight then your kidding yourselves, maybe not back to the streak of píss he was in his playing days, but he doesn't have to be as big as he is now. Diet and excercise (is the solution I keep meaning to follow).

Reynolds could have reasons for the personality that he has for all you know.

So you're suggesting Dolan hasn't a reason for his weight then, hmmm now I wonder double standards?

No, pointing out your double standards. I've seen Dolan coming away from shops at eL games, and his weight can't be blamed totally on a medical condition.

I've yet to see Reynolds walk out of a Pyschiatric facility for those with manic personalities, but that doesn't mean he's not a thug.

That's not really the point though. You say what you see (as a shíte game show used to have as it's catchphrase). Pat Dolan is fat, whether you love him or loathe him.
