Couldn't find a thread on him, but he's been discussed a bit on the Keane thread. Chicago Fire, 21 goals this season, just named MLS MVP for this season.

And, as the name might suggest, of Irish descent. Has played underage for the US, and I would imagine they will snap him up soon, but might be something for O'Neill to look into.

Edit - Robbie Keane on him ( http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/keane-on-29774871.html ):

"Mike Magee (his rival for MLS MVP) is a lad who was with LA Galaxy the last few years, he's from Chicago, his family are there, so he wanted to go back. I keep reminding the manager it was stupid to get rid of him because he's after banging in 20 goals or something, so that wasn't clever. His whole family is Irish. His grandfather or father. He's not an international. I'd say he would (take call). He definitely would like to, but he's probably waiting for that American call-up. How he hasn't got it, I don't know."

Heard him interviewed on the radio last week after he won the MLS MVP and was asked about this. He said as far as he knew he wasn't eligible for Ireland and was hoping Klinsmann would call him for a US training camp in January. So I think it's a no-go.
