I'm sick and tired of seeing these below average players representing limerick. when is mike going to stand up and realise that there are high quality players in the desmond league, who would be proud to represent limerick and would definatly show more heart than cp o brien.

I think you can take it that CP has played his last game in the blue of Limerick

Have we sent him back or just dropped him? Who plays up front now? Do we still play only one up top?

its god that hes gone but now we have no strikers only Liam Costelloe. so we'd be lucky to buy a goal between ow and the end of the season. i say put finni up front. as for other players the league is nearly over let us get rid for the dross now and see what the new brush brings next year, god i cant wait till this season ends

I can see your point Gael but if we move finny we will only be causing a weakness to fix another weakness. We don't have anyone nearing Finny's ability who could step in for him in defence.

finni up front your having a laugh i am his biggest admirer and played with him on over 150 games and he will tell you himself that he hardly ever scores, you would be robbin peter to pay paul and in fairness you wouldnt be givin paul nearly enough money to justify it

you're obviously only on here to wind people up, orelse you haven't a clue about football....Mike Kerley has done wonders with absolutely no resources and a crap squad.
In time, with more experience, I'm sure Mike will make a fine manager and going through all of these bad experiences so early in his career will only stand him in good stead for the future.

must agree 100% with u joe after what limerick have been thru over the last period ,mike kerley deserves a special achivement award for what he has done with the club on the playing field.back in july in the cup when lims came to cobh he had just about a team and still managed to get best out of them to earn a replay, most people would have walked away but he stuck with it and deserves better than the posts here.i hope everything works out at the club for u and your felloe loyal fans.

Everyone seems to agree how much Mike Kerley did last season, on a limited budget he worked wonders. I wonder what he would have had to do get Clubman of the Year?

the best thing you can do is look after your own club because you dont know what you are talking about limericks wages bill is in the top 7 off the 1st div and cobhs is not and we can not get off the bottom with limerick when noel o c was the boss they won a cup on only a few pounds a week he was a class manger pity he went to cork and LOOK WHAT HE DONE DOWN THERE dolan is the name BUT NOC THE BOSS ask the players next season i hope the new boys have the brains and balls to beg him to come back. BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say willie john and fc hammer, I can't believe what you're saying. Noel o'connor did a great job at limerick and is doing an excellent job at city too, but Kerley has had an even tougher job with even less resources than Noel had and has done an amazing job there. How anyone can question his ability as a manager is beyond me.

Are you well? Noel left two weeks before the start of the season - dropping us right in it. Mike Kerley took over (and of course inherited Noel's team). The early results were very poor - understandably given the pre-season they'd had and having a new manager landed in. Remember, although we had won the league cup (a great achievement) we finished bottom of the league.

That season (Mike's first) ended with a 14 game unbeaten run and a playoff defeat away to Derry. A team had been created and well managed, creating a team is not just about assembling the right players. Then in the close season the entire team (well, 9 of them) left or were allowed to leave. A new team had to be built right from scratch again with the threat that there might not even be league football - we couldn't get a license until 2 weeks before the season kicked off. How easy is it to get players to sign when you don't even know if the team will be in the league? This season we have gone to matches with 9 outfield players. There is no point in having a manager if the team is picked for you.

So, you give out about Mike and say he should go because we are bottom of the league. And you want to bring back the previous manager. Where did we finish in his last season in charge? Oh yeah, bottom of the league.

fc Hammer, i sit corrected. got your post confused with willie john's. I still think you are being harsh on Mike. i would rather see him stay - and see what kind of a manager he is if he has resources to allow him to do the job properly instead of firefighting all the time. :ball:

now this is where you are wrong n o c was a manager who ran the team on 2000.00 per week pleanty of good players wanting to play for the club all the players taken by other clubs good strong clubs what new players did mike bring on 4000.00 per week ??????not one player he got will be taken by any other club in the leauge at the end of the season .mike is a nice guy a good player a good no.2 but not a boss yet but will be one and in 3 years time i think he could be as good as noc or even better but limerick dont have 3 years i do think mike has done a fair job but next season no players comming true looks to me as another crap season before it starts unless CORK WANT TO GIVE US THERE UNDER 21S AND NOC ;) ;)

Cant pass O'Brien came from cork on loan, Tomas Hughes from waterford on loan, Brendan Hughes from Galway United, Jalmard Kulsten froma dutch club, so i think he has signed a few players in. Mick has done a good job with LIMITED resources although €4000 for this present team is ridiculous. I think it has to do with the number of players actually signed this year or used (29 i think) which makes it so high. If mike is replaced id like to see us hang onto him as he has an oter year to run on hsi contract so assistent manager or under 18 or 21s manager. Id like to see Noel back in the club as well as a director of coaching and off all football matters. Now for manager id like to see........John Gill! that if mike were to be replaced

but how many times were players not paid? and as for attracting new players, its very difficult to do in this league- majority of players play in dublin and won't move from there, even we at Cork CIty have that problem and we have more money than limerick. add to that the ridiculous rule the limerick district league have about junior players and you can see why any manager would have trouble!
