Real nothing game for us. I don't really care if we finish 6th or 7th.
Have heard from a few people that contract talks have started for some of the players, but haven't gone too well. Probably the usual opening offers players get that they reject. It's still a positive that we have started talking this early as its usually left until late December/ January.

Anyway, to the game, no Stuart or Malky on the bench so just Eddie Hickey and the physio. Sam Oji is back, Nzuzi is suspended so should still have a strong back 4. Anyone making the trip up?

It'd be nice to a top half team in the first season back, but 7th is a great return as well. Given the lack of anything to play for, I'd expect a score draw. Far more interest in contract talks now.

Derry need to match Shamrock Rovers result to get Europe (if Sligo Rovers win the cup). I expect they will be going out for a win.

We need to better Cork's result for 6th. Would be nice but 7th is still a good season.

Will definitely be better than the last time we went there on the final day of the regular season. Lost 7-0 in 1990. Although the scoreline was not a true reflection of how the game went.

They should have scored ten. :)

Looks like a young team starting again tonight. Good experience for the young lads up there.

Cusack, Kelly, Whitehead, Folan, Murphy, Bradley, O'Leary, Tiofack, Sheedy, Gaffney

Subs: Murray, Feeney, McGrath, Hanlon, Rainsford, Costello, Williams.

5-0 down. Getting gutted. Bad way to finish.

Bad for the youngfellas but its a lesson learned, albeit a harsh one.

6-0 now.

I feel sorry for anyone who went up.
Not really the game to have thrown young lads into if we really were chasing 6th place. Where were Ryan, Gamble and Curran?

Gamble was in Turner's Cross anyway.

Just about.

Was very annoying seeing that team out after travelling all that way tbh . We were alright first half but may as well have started the trip home 2nd half.
