So after all of that we finally claimed a play-off place! We will never have a better chance than this.
Mervue will be extremely tough opponents and with all that's going on right now they seem even more determined to upset the odds.
We seem to have a huge crowd traveling down on Friday night and I have no doubt we will be extremely loud yet again as it definitely helped push us over the line in athlone so hopefully we go out and play like we did last week and attack from the off, dominate the ball and set the tempo.
In terms of team news those injured last week are still out as far as I know while David O'Neill is suspended for 1 game due to yellow cards accumulated. Corie Treacy returns from suspension so TC must decide whether to stick with Deans or not and apart from that I'd say he will field the same side as last week, my only change would be Ebbe for O'Brien.

I'd take a draw as well but would obviously love a win. If we do manage to nick a win, I think it will be even harder in City calling next week as we won't catch them on the hop twice and I believe Mervue will score in both legs, we saw in the last 2 games against Mervue that long balls will get you very little, lets hope for some proper football, because I for one really believe that by keeping it on the ground, De Town would be a match (excuse the pun) for any team at this level

Dave Sully and Noel Haverty have made it into the PFAI First Division team of the year, congrats to both. Sully also up for POTY against Collins and Gorman of ATFC.

Lets hope either or both get awards, If they get to the premier league surely that would swing the votes their way or is the voting finished by then

Votes are in and counted already as far as I know. The shortlist is the three with the most votes. I expect one of the Athlone pair will win it, Collins maybe.
50 seater bus now full! This hasnt happened since our last cup final!

It's hard not to get excited at the idea of possibly going up. Feels completely different to last year, funny how one big win lifts everyone. I can't make it due to work and can't make the second leg either as I'm away. Sickener. Just have to hope we can get by Mervue.

Friday night, and so I can't make it, which is a balls. I assume it's because premier team could call the 1st leg of the final for the Monday night.

Yeah I believe the schedule is Friday-Friday-Monday-Friday should we go all the way. I'll be hard pressed to make the home leg of the final should we get there but if there's a chance of us going up I'd manage it one way or another.
