After getting over the shirt incident in the house this morning things went from bad to worse when I paid a visit to the staff canteen, they wouldnt accept Euros and stared blankly when asked "Ou e le the o lait?" A trip to Marks & Spencers led to the discovery that they did in fact accept Euros and also at a rather attractive exchange rate. Said cashier also pointed out that he would gladly put my Sainsburys bag inside the Marks one, not in fact to use me as an extra in their latest advertising campaign but, to quote my reply "Jesus, your right, it is a good strong bag."
