The strange thing was that Manuela was rarely used as Trap stubbornly persisted with his poor command of spoken English to get his message across in press conferences.
Somebody should have told him he was speaking gobbeldygook or put in the contract that he use the translator to answer questions.

Can we get another Italian manager just to keep her?

Thats because it was a charade, the guy was a chancer, he was pushing the boat out way too far for anyone to believe he couldn't understand the language. Good riddance !!!
We'll never be world beaters, we are ensuring that wont happen all on our own but you can put money down on at least one thing, if you carry on the way he did with the language barrier crap then it will never happen for us.

So agree with this sentiment. He never did anything outside of Italy and speaking his native tongue. Except in Germany, and em Austria and, oh well, Portugal.
Once language is thrown in as an excuse (like Wilson did after his latest awful display last week) we know we're clutching at straws. Capello speaks no Russian and nworse english than Trap, he's not doing too bad over here.

To be fair to Wilson, certain media outlets put a bit of a spin on his words. I don't think he was claiming to be as bamboozled by Trap's communication as some made out.

Danny did you see the Wilson interview on Sky Sports News?

I only read text and quotes (http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/wilson-traps-instructions-not-totally-clear-29564430.html) and I'm not sure if they were lifted from an interview on SSN or where. What did he say on SSN?

It is what it is. You need to see the clip.

Worth hunting out. If Wilson was an English player & did it to Capello it would have gone viral. Let's just say the video mustn't have got back to the Trap because he played him last night.

Is this it?:

He does come across as a bit mentally drained by it all, to be honest.
