Drogheda United vs Shelbourne

Drogheda have slipped totally out of form in recent weeks and manager Paul Doolin will be hoping his side can get their act together ahead of the top-of-the-table clash with Shelbourne.
Shelbourne themselves are looking to pick themselves up, having lost at home to Derry on Monday.
John Flanagan is suspended for Drogheda after his sending off against Waterford in the Drogs' last league game.
Kevin Doherty returns to the Shelbourne squad after injury but Joseph Ndo is out for the remainder of the season. Shels are expected to make only one or two changes, despite Monday's loss.

Enjoyable game, that :)

As the lads on RTE said, good advert for the league I thought. Good standard of play throughout, lots of goals and some real genuine quality. Seemed like a good atmosphere too. I wish I could have gone but the coverage was good, though a bit short. Again, between this and the European games on TV, the profile of the league can only be getting better which is a good thing.

In fairness-much as i hate $h€l$, that was the mark of a truly great side. The fact that the two subs came on and combined for the last said a lot about the sheer quality in depth of shels' team. Hopefully, we can overtake Drogs now with a few wins on the tro, starting Monday! :D

Another important result of the night from Dalymount Park.

Bohs lead 2-0 going into the last minute or normal time, Foley pulls one back, into injury time and well, wouldn't you just know it? One Robbie Doyle gets an injury time goal and it finishes 2-2 :D That really could be that. Good day for Shels and well, I suppose a good day for Cork without them playing too as far as second place is concerned.

Shels were impressive in how they played. You always felt they were the more dangerous. I thought it looked very good on TV and there was an excellent atmosphere(until the 67 minute anyway)

A good set of results for City. Drogheda lose and Bohs draw. CAn we get 2nd place. Our destiny is in our own hands.

Lets really get behind the team on Monday night.

I'ld say the viewing figures for that match will be down as a lot of the potential audience are in France at the moment.
