Shelbourne are to stage a benefit night later this month for supporter Sean Lynch. The Shels fan suffered a heart attack in La Coruna when Pat Fenlon’s side were in the Spanish city to play Deportivo in a Champions League qualifier in August.
He subsequently required a leg amputation and the club has booked Clontarf Castle on Sunday, October 17, to raise funds for Mr Lynch.
The club says it has lined up a “variety night of music and fun” with a table of up to 10 people costing €250. Those interested should contact Deidre O'Brien at 01 8334138 or Olive Smyth at 01 8331219.
