Osama, Saddam, Ariel Sharon, Dubya,Hitler, and more close to home, Pat Fenlon, Martin O'Neill, Dennis Wise, Lee Bowyer, Brendan O'Donnell, Brendan Smyth and my current hate figure is the right honourable Judge Brian Curtin...........

Well, to quote the greatest fictional character of all time-

"ACE: Don't you hate anything Doctor?
DOCTOR WHO: I can't stand burnt toast. And I loathe bus stations, empty places full of lost souls and lost luggage. And then there's unrequited love. And then there's tyranny. And cruelty..."

So You're the Bluenose? MO'N WHY?

I'm not a bluenose, far from it. It's just that Martin O'Neill drives me nuts, always did, even at Leicester City. His constant gibbering and blatant playing to the cameras and fans by jumping up and down like a jack in the box realy gets to me....I'm sure he's a lovely fella, just not for me..

For me it is the referee who disallowed Frankie Stapleton's goal in the Heysel Stadium yet back in 1981 and then gave a free to Gerets after he dived from which Belgium scored, and putting a big dent in our 1982 WC qualifying hopes.

My vote is for the fella behind me in Landsdown Road at the Cypuus match who, even though everyone else was standing up, insisted on sitting down and regularly poking me in the back to tell me to sit down so that my view would be ruined instead of his.

Never did a junior certificate....it was called the intermediate certificate when I was going to school, but thanks for the 'stoopid' implication.

Ah go on, you love a bit of Cork v Limerick banter!!! :D
Anyway since you're older than me, I'm now obliged to "respect" you.
Who made up that rule anyway?
I know loads of people older than me who don't deserve respect and many younger who do.
Look at the curve on this tangent... :D

joeSoap
08/10/2004, 10:48 AM
I dunno where this 'respect your elders' came out of, but I like it....now show some respect boy!! :D
As for Cork-Limerick banter, you better watch yer mouth sham, or I'll be down to ya like a ton of bricks to slash your face and cut you up....right!!!! :D

why not just generalise:
"Anyone who has ever beaten Cork City or left them to play for another club"

I named 7 people, only two of them ever played for or were associated with Cork City FC and the reason I hate the Shels people is nothing to do with them beating us more to do with them being scumbags and corrupt thugs.

Of your seven, Ollie Byrne (corrupt) and Alan Reynolds (scumbag) are the two I'll agree with.Ollie Cahill, Jason Byrne and Owen Heary have proven themselves as top class EL footballers, while Dan Connor is probably a little too easily led by the likes of Reynolds...as for poor Rocky....... :D

I could have sworn that Pat Dolan and his twin brother Eamon were born in Ardrahan, Co. Galway in 1968...
Lets see now....that would make him....ammm... IRISH....

joeSoap
18/10/2004, 2:05 PM
Plus I don't know where wws is from, but judging by his Irish league avatars he regularly uses, he would seem to have an affinity with Belfast and its surrounding areas, which is, geographically part of, THE UK.....

Surprised no Cork people mentioned Neil Prendeville, or is back in the good books with everyone again, or maybe he's too insignificant too mention ;)

Agree with ye on those tools Ed Byrne and Des Bishop.
Two terrible shows they had.
All the comedians on Just For Laughs were bored to death talking to that muppet, Byrne.
+
How could anyone listen to Des Bishop complaining about life stacking shelves?
HE was saying stuff like,
"Its Thursday morning and this €20 note is all i have to get trough to tomorrow morning. What kind of life is this?"
and stuff. What a tosser!
