Athea have a great set up. Dressing rooms one of the best in the league. Pitch is perfect and wear blue and white stripes

Fair play to Athea utd, the facilites are a credit to the club. 3-1 to Avenue, A decent game it was too and a nice size crowd turned up to watch. Our first goal was a screamer, got a very good second goal against the run of play and was 2 nil at half time. We looked more dangerous in the second half but were caught against the run of play and it was 2-1. About 5 mins later, we got the 3rd which killed the game off. Again thanks to Athea for their hospitality, nice bunch of lads

Carrig were down 2 nil, Seanie King & Sean Sweeney made it 2 all before the interval, Davy roche went off injured, Sean sweeney penalty 3-2 jst after the half, 3-3 Denis Fitz off his shinguard, 4-3 another Sean Sweeney penalty,cheeky dispatch, 4-4 one of the Smyths, terrible Carrig defending, Abbey up 5-4, 5 all Seanie King, 6-5 in favour of Carrig, Sean O Connor with the winner. Last 3 goals in d space of 4 mins. Defending on both sides dismal, few nice taken goals all the same.

very poor result all right.... I dont know who made themselves available for it and injury wise, but hurley isnt a natural full back,McAulife is playing centre mid afaik for broadford,dont know a whole pile about smith, and trender is very average and playing 1st division football so all in all a poor back line in my eyes but to be fair that lad clarke up front is scoring goals for fun so it would have been tough to keep them out eithier way but 6-0 is a bit of a hammering.

How will the Desmond teams get on this week in the fai cup?

Disappointing result in the Oscar Traynor, was 6-0 a fair reflection of the game? From what I heard they were unlucky the first day against Galway to at least not get a point. Galway apparently should have beaten Clare during last week And Clare had already beaten Limerick District, I think there's no chance of qualifying now??
I'd like to think our league isn't too many miles behind the District league.
Abbey face a dirty trip down to Fenit on Sunday out by the coast, if the weather is bad I wont envy them!! Ballingarry should beat Shannon Olympic.
Would fancy Carrig to make home advantage count and both of Newcastle and Broadford to advance, hopefully the latter wont be affected by the Munster Club Football Championship.

Galway scored in the 93rd min to equalize against Clare so dont know how you can say they were unlucky not to beat clare.....anybody at the game would know Clare deserved to win the game.

Great results for the Desmond teams today in the fai junior cup and good win for Athea against Glin.

Glin scored early with Athea leveling before half time with an og, went ahead midway through second half and got two late goals, in fairness Glin were much under strength due a county final

Might be different in Munster or National Cups
