There are plenty of trains both way - many others as well. cost is €40.80 return.

However last train back on friday night is 10.14 so you'd need to leave at half time or even earlier. I'm heading down on the 13.14 and staying the night down there.

BTW anyone know how far the stadium is from the station?

I booked the Ibis for €56 per room per night in the centre of Troyes.

I heard - maybe cowboy has more info now that the London Irish may be runnign a bus up and down on the one day.

My mate is bringing the girlfriend and had arranged a Romantic moonlight cruise down the Seine for Friday night having realised that it was not possible to get back afterwards from Troyes. He now has the offer of a lift up & down and as of this morning was thinking of going and doing a "much less" romantic sunlight cruise down the Seine on saturday morning. :) BTW neither read this board.

The club website (Troyes AC through google) says that it is 2km from the station, unfortunately it doesn't appear to say in which direction.

Then again maybe I should have paid more attention in french class.

You can find out about the stadium at www.troyes.fr. The home page is a bit weird but if you click on 'Sport', then the 'Stades' link on the right hand column, this page tells you all about the sports facilities in Troyes - including their addresses!

The Stade de L'Aube is on avenue Robert Schuman apparently and you can reach this using bus routes 1, 21 or 25 (although a cab might be easier!). The telephone number for the stadium seems to be 03 25 71 87 49 if you need it.

Also under the 'Sports' section is a link for 'Euro 2006' (again in the right hand column) which mentions the match on Friday.

If you want to see exactly where the stadium is, check out www.multimap.com - just select France and type in the street name and Troyes.

I don't know where the station is though! Still I suppose you'll find that out when you land there!
