don loves working with youth perhaps cos he feels he can control them better . he is a good manager and gives good PR . If ye get him he will make all the right noises but personally i think ye are better off with murphy bad and all as ye think he is .
Liam Murphy - we all know he'll be there next season anyway
Don O'Riordan - why do people think hes so good? hes at bleedin Sligo for gods sake?
Pat Morley - not a hope in the world skip wants the jobas he has a proper one already.
Damian Richardson - he'll be at rovers & not a hope he wants to move.
Paul Power - don't make me laugh!

Dons at Sligo cos he was unfairly sacked at Galway and we were the first club to come in with an offer for him

No, taking the pi$$! :D :D
Time to dispell a myth.
Mountfield was...well how do you say.....shockingly bad. He took chit from players and didn't react. He had no control. He couldn't manage a McDonalds.
He had a good vision but not a hope or clue of how to implement it.
It's very easy to jump on the Murphy Bandwagon. We are 3points of top with all the teams ahead of us stilling having to come to the Cross. We went out of the FAI Cup to a freak goal. Ok Murphy messed up big time with the subs however he is still lerning the job. I'm very encouraged by the start he's made as manager, once he realises that our Noel isn't a taller Rivaldo we'll be on our way.
I think a realistic target for this year is UEFA Cup football.

While I agree with you 100% SÓCcfc, because I've said almost exactly the same thing about Mountfield before, I have tosay that you're wasting your fonts. The conspiracy theorists are so convinced that their version of events is correct that they wont listen to anyone.
Liam Murphy is doing a good job as manager and the gripes of a few shed heads isn't just cause for dismissal.
If Liam Murphy was released then I fear for any manager who'd replace him.
A few small changes could make us a great club.
Sacking another manager isn't one of them.

agree 100% (am I one of those conspiracy theorists?), but I still think certain players and non-players have a huge amount of responsibility. Atthe end of the day (Bill ;) ) I don't thinl Murphy has done a BAD job as a manager, but I just think that the likes of Don O'Riordan etc could do a better job. I also believe there are too many people who have been there too long for city to really change, and I'm basing that on what certain players and ex-players have said to me.

I agree. DM might have been a professional player but that doesn't make him a good manager. He had no experience at management & i think it showed.
Gunther has us 3 points off the top of the table & while hes rode his luck on occasions hes also been unlucky so it all balances itself out. I'd have some concerns he seems to be virtually removing all remnants of the old squad & that the club cannot continue to supply 6 or 7 youth players a season. However managers are judged on their results so thats what i'll continue to do...
I was being kinda sarcastic. I didn't mean tro start yet another DM debate. Old news etc.
sorry.
