North Tipp & District League 2013/14

Well lads the season is due to kick off soon any news on transfers or how strong teams are this season? Our a-team have oldbridge in the 1st round of the John Delaney and i think the shield draws will be done Tuesday night, cant wait to get back into it.

Thurlas Celtic are gone, as are Killavilla, so Roscrea United will be strong and so will Streamstown. Roscreas first team gone straight into Div 1, and there seconds in Div 3. Portumna gone straight into Div 2, gonna make for some very interesting games in the lowere divisions.
Shield Draw tonight, hopefully a couple of nice ties in store. Roll on the new season.

Just seen our own Shield Draws on FB, Didnt get the rest of the draw yet sorry. Nenagh AFC A not in due to being in the John Delaney Cup, Nenagh AFC B drew Clonmore at home, and Nenagh AFC C Drew BT Harps B away.

we have a young lad form arra training with us Stephen Flynn, hes a striker, looks fairly good. We lost Davie Ryan to work in oz, huge loss to us. I heard town have lost a couple and got a couple, havent heard anything else yet.

I heard cloughjordan lost their keeper and striker from last season... If that's true I think they could be in trouble contending for the league... That played a big part last season from what I heard. Celticlads heard ye had a good vs clonmel town, good start if that's true. Also heard thurlas town lost a few also

ya i heard thurles lost a few actually, ya we had a good run out against clonmel alright but they were missing quite a few. Have clough lost them lads? i was lead to believe that they have the same squad and maybe even adding a couple.

Yeah we will be missing our keeper and our striker from last season . Our manager is working hard getting replacements in and is still ongoing . Hopefully it will be sorted by the start of the season . We may not be as strong as we were last season but then again we didnt think we would have challenged for the league this time last season so who know's .. I reckon it will be tight again this season .. Think celtic will be alot more competitive in the league , But i reckon nenagh town will win again .. No shocks there !

In other news , we should be moving into a new pitch next year /season .. Should be a nice pitch too by the looks of it .. finally !!! The cowfield we have now will have to makedo for just one more season .. :D

We have stephen flynn form arra training with us and we have mikey hynes, benny sheehan and darren scully back with us also, ya we should be stronger this year but we lost davie ryan our center half which is a huge loss to us, we also have a couple of foreign lads training with us but not sure how good they are yet

Cloughjordan beaten 8-0 by Janesboro today, were they not 2nd in North Tipp last year?

Lost 5-4 on pens to Clonmel Town after a 2 all draw in normal time, marky walsh put us ahead 5 mins into the 2nd half, Clonmel drew level 5 mins later and went ahead with about 25 mins left, davie walsh equalized 5 mins later and the game finished 2-2. Best of luck to Clonmel in the final

Yep , we were 2nd last year .. Clough hadnt a full strength team on sunday and had played a game on friday nite against birr town .. Still hard to argue with 8 nil ! I think it might have been 9 actually !! :D Only a pre season friendly , so wouldnt be too bothered about it ..
