I'm not sure about that question about physiological arousal!
Is that correct, or should it be "psychological"?

It sounds dodgy, but isn't.
A physiological arousal is what happens when you are watching a game and the winger on your team crosses over the ball and you striker struggles to get on to it, so you (the fan) imitates the movement of the striker.
Nice complement from the student that all LOI fans would know this.

Some of the question have me questioning the motive or objective of the survey, but I've completed it nonetheless.

Well, without resorting to a dictionary to double-check the definition of the term, I was just wondering what exactly was being asked in that question, as if "psychological" was meant, then it would still be a valid question to ask.

Yeah, as if all National Football fans are unhinged in some way, not considering the fact that its a game of ball, out with the lads, few pints (a main component of our national culture/identity apparently) and it beats being stuck in the pub all night. Being affiliated to something embedded in your community didn't get a look in.

From the nature of the (many) repeated questions, the aims of this survey is fairly transparent - Looking at football as escapism, as a social activity, and as an enabler of some sort of psychological/physiological reaction in the viewer.

I can't be bothered re-doing it, but I think there was a question on community involvement as a motivator.

Yeah, and i answer the highest one on that .... My point was that proportionately it wasn't great, one question out of 30 or so?

I thought the survey was just asking 'do you come here often?'
