I was actually thinking about this aswell earlier today.
It's by no means impossible but it would mean us winning all our remaining games and Shels slipping up a good few times and that is highly unlikely to happen.
It's not very realistic really to believe we can still win it but I think that second place is very much within our grasp, it's amazing because only a few weeks ago people were laughing at Brian Lennox for suggesting we could still finish second.
Keep the faith!

Derry City are 2 up I think....

Wait for all these muppets who've been moaning and groaning all week to start thinking about winning the league now again!

I think it's beyond us to win it, but hopefully second is still reachable, gotta finish the season off well though

There is something thrilling even imagining that we can do it. Shels could well slip here and there. The post-Europe hangover is showing tonight. Yesterday it was announced that Ndo needs a groin operation and is gone for the remainder of the season. You never know . . . :ball:

Jesus, I knew we were fickle, I didn't realise we were schizophrenic
'Dolan Out' -v- 'We can win the league'

Colin is out long term
Flynny is not scoring goals
we've taken 5 points from 21 from the top three
Fenn and Georgie are on the bench
the dressing room is splitting
our two win streak was against the bottom two

Shels lose one game at home, and we can win the league. Would ye get real :D

it wouldnt be a major shock if they lost both to drogs and bohs

which will set us up for a nice 6 pointer against them

Shels have still to play Bohs twice and Cork once. And they play Drogheda away on Friday. You could see them dropping points somewhere in those games. If Cork can beat Longford and Waterford, it would at least put them under pressure. There is still 30 odd points left to play 4.

Its a long-shot, but if we can start to score a few goals we will be winning more games cause we don't concede too many.

Cork City vs Bohemians, final game of the season...Title decider...?????

this is some good weed.

Sorry, but does anyone else understand this "post"? The result will affect the distance between us by 6 points, i.e. either we lose 3 and they win 3, or the other way around. Adding up our respective points total after the fixture, the difference between those two possible outcomes is 6 points. In fact, this is true of every league fixture, but it gets more interesting the closer each team is to each other.

Ah, I see what you mean now. He meant Drogs and Bohs.
Sorry for the unnecessary maths lesson. ;)

i dont think we'll win the league at this stage but i'm sure we'll make the top three which would be a good achievment.
i think that with dolan in charge we will challenge more next season and maybe even win it within the next two years.

9 points behind (if we win our game in hand).

its not impossible, but highly unlikely. we'd need to go on an excellent run and shels would have to drop a good few points. stranger things have happened, but I'd happily take second if it was offered to me right now. if we could close the gap, it might get the interest going again though

The Shels v Drogs game on Friday is going to be televised by RTE. What result would be better for us? If they draw, it might be best for us, IMO. If Shels completely loses the plot and drops points against Bohs, and if we beat them, the Drogs will finish ahead of us. They are more likely to win the league at this moment than Shels, IMO, so I would be glad to see them dropping two points on Friday.

Is there an updated fixture list for all clubs for the rest of the season on www.FAI.ie? If so can you tell me where it is; if not does anyone know where else I could find it?

Thanks.

i'd prefer to hedge my bets and go for a shels win. 2nd is more realistic. we might fall between two stools otherwise and get nothing
