How can "Top notch 1A players" get beaten 9-1 in Division 1a and still be seen as "top notch 1A players"?
One of the Hibs players that scored 2 last week is very close to if not over 40 and managed to score 2 against these "top notch 1a players"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stupid comment...Getting hammered in a one of game doesnt make players bad over nite....all teams have terrible games once in a while.

Great result actually, but thanks. I am very proud of my team mates, hence the speed of my report. Fairkop was fishing, I didn't feel the need to bite.fishing zizou?think your watching too much of the "MENTALIST".tbf your mini reports on your preseason exploits and in competition results are always a fine read......BUT....SURELY..an unexpected 9-1 hammering would have merited some comment from you given your regular contributions to this thread even allowing for the possibility you were in the depths of despair following that humilating defeat.

glad to see that everybody values zizous opinion, that ye feel the need to get on his back over his comments of his team. I don't know who plays for pike b but normally its a mix of Previous A players aswell as others. I am sure there are some decent players there anyway.
They were well beaten in a match and so what that a person nearly 40 scored two, anyone know of any decent players at the age?? Teddy Sheringham??
Why don't people just disagrre with a post rather than slag off the poster for their opinion. Mr Zizou has played with enough good players to have a fair idea, it may not be balanced due to his club crest and love for pike, however anybody to question his knowledge on football would be silly, or at least get as many predictions right as him before doing so :-)

100% correct. One game does not mean a player is dreadful no more than a great game makes a player class. Watching guys train two nights a week and seeing them play in good games and bad is where my opinion on our better players was derived.

Wonderfully dramatic, thanks for that. :)

These "top notch 1a players" have managed to win 3 league games out of 11. Beating hospital, caherconlish and dromore hardly a who's who of the top teams in this division.
Of course good players don't become bad over night but surely you all can agree that "top notch 1a players" will win more than 3 games from the 11 they have played.
As for the comment about this lad being a die hard pike b man. How die hard was he when he was on here bleating about his brief spell with Granville.
Sing when your winning (or drawing sometimes) is this lads mentality hardly the stuff you associate with great character. Alan Morton used to come on here and give match reports which were fair balanced and knowledgeable a joy to read it's not too much to ask for the same.

You still here?
I've no idea how long you've been following me on here, clearly a very long time. I do appreciate having fans. But you are just going to have to accept that stalking is creepy. I've sent you a private message, have a look at that and see what you think. If you want to meet I can bring you an autograph, maybe sign a picture for you, who knows right? Thanks for reading lad, keep up the good work.

kind of strange if the Shannon teams had as much space used up as zizou / pike b recently lads would be jumping into to say it was turning into a Shannon fest :D :D Back to the soccer talk zizou and don't forget about us your other followers ;)

Weather is gone crazy out there again, might claim a few games this weekend if it keeps up. We're actually ahead of the rest in terms of games played, so I think we might have a bit of a lay off now whilst they catch up.

I don't know what the problem with Zizou's reports are? I've always found them fair and enjoyable and I have absolutely no allegiance to Pike. I'd rather he post nothing after a defeat than come on with the usual "we were missing [insert real number of players missing and add the three lads who last turned up the first week of July] players, we had all the ball and couldn't score and the ref screwed us."

In fairness, that week we were missing 6, we had all the ball and as for that ref!!! :)
Only kidding. We got whooped. End of story.

Bit harsh on shannon town there they drew last week too and shannon should have won..I've seen shannon a few times this year and if they could score they would be alot higher up table as play good football. Only seen moyross once and that was last week .. they were very average in my opinion.

zizou explain to me how after a 1-1 draw you can say killmallock team is the strongest you have faced so far ?? after last weeks result it does not say much for pike b or Shannon hibs who took ye apart and ref even blew it up early. ??
Awkward after hibs lost 8-1 and blown up early too :-)
Kilmallock are a fine team and should be winning this division

I'm not taking anything away from Shannon , good point for them but that was Moyross' game in hand at the top of the table so it's definitely points dropped!

I'm saying nothing. ;)
I said it last week. We've now played everyone, there is no doubt in my mind the best football team in this division man for man are Killmallock. Ok, they aren't top, but nobody has beaten them yet, they lie just four points off the leaders and for me they will win this division. Unless they can't get a full team out or lose key players to injury I do not see them being stopped. Mungret the other team that impressed me most, fancy them for second, Second :)

Yeah i'll have to retract that statement, didn't realise there is only 4 points in it now! All to play for at the top of the table!

1A is always a really exciting division, same again this year. Knockainey, Moyross, Mungret, Killmallock, Hospital and Caherdavin all in with a real shout of promotion. I wouldn't rule out both Shannon teams either, with Town in particular capable of going on a run.

No doubt about it that who ever goes up will have earned it because it's a tougher division this year imo. Does anyone know how many home games Knockainey have played?

Shannon Hibs Goal Scorer was Jordan Downes and yeah we were missing a few but have to agree with Zizou, Kilmallock are by far the best footballing side in 1A and i also think they will win the league, Moyross the other stand out team for me. Kilmallocks number 11 today great player and looked there best player along with Doona

And I'll level with you, I made my comments after we played them, knowing they had Doona and Tommy Heffernan to come back in. I was impressed with Moyross aswell, but I just feel they are not as solid and well organised as say a Mungret, over a season. We shall see.
PREDICTIONS
Moyross 2-3 Caherdavin Celtic
Caherconlish 1-4 Kilmallock

not a lot can be said after that result :o but I suppose end of season table will tell the full story who are the best teams .. strange league were a team can win 9-1 and lose 8-1 in the space of a couple of games ?
