There's been a lot said about trying to take advantage of the decent profile the LoI is now getting through from players coming through to play for the national team etc - below is a screenshot from 188bet - I'd imagine it's picked up that I'm on the site from an Irish IP address but all the same it's great to see they've up-to-date shots of LoI players and using them to promote the matches this weekend.

UK companies can be quite naive like this, assuming that Irish people are interested in Irish football.

They are sure. Celtic and Liverpool sold out in an hour.

Seriously? That's just pathetic if true!

Limited sales I'd imagine for maximm exposure. Worked a treat too.

There are loads of little thigns to suggest the LOI has a bigger 'presence' than at any time but it's not really translating into people through the gates. For existing fans though, the coverage is great

I'd agree with that, for current fans there has never been a better time.

Live games weekly, MNS, extratime.ie, fan driven audio coverage, Twitter. Never been easier to follow games you aren't at.

I could have sworn one of those guys just suggested that a promotion to trade in the shirts of English clubs for Irish ones would get more people in the gate. What an odd idea.

I wasn't being literal, but I would be surprised if MNS airs beyond this season. We'll get a few token live games off RTÉ and that will be our lot.

Good to have it being discussed anyway.

Think its a decent enough discussion if not at times seeming a tad desperate pleading with people to come to games.

Ya man from Volkswagen seems to be passionate enough for a sponsor. His confusion as to why Irish people don't actually go to football games in comparison to English people comes across a few times.

They're also quite complimentary towards the standard of the league...suprisingly..
