After last night drubbing in ucd, every fan has to agree that all hope is gone.
just after looking at the league table:

UCD 26 17 7 2 51 18 58
Finn Harps 25 16 6 3 38 18 54
Bray Wds 25 16 5 4 49 19 53
Kildare Cty 25 14 7 4 38 21 49
Galway 26 12 7 7 42 30 43
Dundalk 25 11 3 11 33 41 36
Sligo Rvs 25 9 4 12 37 39 31
Athlone T 25 8 1 16 33 46 22
Kilkenny C 24 4 9 11 21 34 21
Cobh Rmbls 24 3 10 11 28 40 19
Monaghan U 24 6 1 17 20 48 16
Limerick FC 25 3 4 18 11 43 13

With Ucd, Harps & Bray or Kildare gone, that leaves us,dublin city Kildare or bray, sligo and maybe dundalk fighting for promotion next yr... anyone know whats the story with season 2005's promotion/relegation system?
For the last two or three seasons in the first division, united have started the season very bad....we need to win the majority of our first five games of the new season....

if a club goes all season unbeaten at home and ends up so far adrift the problem is obviously with away games.i dont know if its the travel arrangements, the lack of travelling support or some mental thing but it has got to be put right for next season if we are to have a hope, and we have to hold on to dupuy!

Ye i know. They have really ugly fans that stand on the hill behind the goal at the pub end of the ground. go to seagull scene and view the wanderers on tour pictures and see monaghan for yourself!!!

We haven't been able to hold onto anything at all decent in the last 20 years, and I cant see that changing now :( Money has always ruled in this club unfortunately. The board released a statement a few weeks back saying they were going to have an open forum on the future of the club, and announce a 3 year plan they are going to introduce, but of course where and when was not stated! . Any news on that?
