Anyone know when the next Dundalk Alberts game is?
Those players aren't fit to wear the Dundalk Dynamos shirt.

FFS, missing a penalty and conceding in injury time.
Could the Drogs not do us a favour and take some points off Pats.
Looks like Tommy Dunne is on borrowed time at Cork, anyone know the length of his contract? Was thinking 2500 would show up today but fell well short.Cant be good been a Cork fan now-if it not for Shels and Bray things could be looking a lot worse....

Darren Dennehy should never have been sent off. Browne could have gine four or five times given he was on a yellow for the elbow he threw.
then for the third goal he caught dan murray with two hands and shoved him. referee screwed us over and over today.

Do you reckon if Darren Dennehy stopped sliding in on his arse with his feet off the ground he'd stop picking up red cards??
Glad theres people gleaned somethin to be proud of from that cork performance, twould be a long oul season otherwise. :good:

He started off injured, that was why.
He's come back in but was injured/sick again today. He's been frequently played out of his natural position too (in midfield rather than defence) by Tommy Dunne during his time here, and stuggled in patches because of it.

Thought we were only ok today. Very very shaky at the back. Morrissey kept picking the ball up between our two centre halves and they just kept letting him do it while all it would have taken was one of them to mark him a little tighter.
Browne gifted Behan his goal and we were very slack defensively for Duggans, no one picking men up. Some shocking defending from set pieces from Cork for our goals also and a gift from McNulty.
We are still a few players away from being a top team but the result was all that counts. 5th in the league is better than we could have imagined and only for a few lapses in concentration in some games we could be in an even better position.

id say from where ye were it looked a bad one, but for me he got the ball.. some bad defending cost us today and the missing of some great chances coupled with some good saves by ryan especially the double save a few minutes after ye scored your second.. can be a bit satisfied the performance was better and that there was a bit of fight in us after going down to ten.. so frustrated with the season so far, we badly need to start getting a few wins cos its getting so painful

Good result for Limerick to win away to Cork. Was there more bite in this derby than the first game of the season?
On current form, it's hard to see any side outside the top 7 being in the top 7 at the end of the season.

yeah was a shocking miss alright like should be scoring those and thats why he starts on the bench he has just not been good enough.. kavanagh missed a 1on1 the other night too against pats and we need to be putting those kind of chances away.. tommy looking for a striker in the transfer window so it will be interesting to see who he can get in

Yeah well that's what you get for inflicting Buttimer on the rest of us.
Absolutely shocking performance from Rovers again - did all they could to gift Dundalk a draw, but luckily Dundalk were too poor to take it. Sheppard looks a shadow of his former self, Finn is having a mare of a season and Quigley just doesn't give a ****. I like Foran as a player but overall the back four don't seem good enough to play the ball out every single time. Ledwith looks like an absolute gem, I'd gladly see Powell spend the rest of the season on the bench.
Of all the teams I've seen this season, Dundalk were probably even worse than UCD.

Disappointing performance against Shamrock Rovers. I thought we should have caused them more problems but didn't pass the ball well enough.
The pitch didn't help. It was very dry, bobbly, and erratic for a bouncing ball. They should water the pitch beforehand if they want to see good football.
Rovers adapted better and played a lot of long balls while Dundalk tried to pass it but lost possession too often.
Rovers were worthy winners on the night. However, we have them on a decent pitch for the next league game and should do a lot better.

I'm not sure how it was down your end, but the pitch was heavily watered down the other side. You could see the water fizzing up for the entire first half.

By who? Haven't exactly seen people throwing garlands at out feet except for any other reason than picking up results, and rightfully so since we've been clinical, gritty and lucky in that order.

Don't mind Sligoman - he blows farts out of every hole. Derry, to me, looked by far the best team we had played in the league this season but they were , in the end, blown away by our best performance since we did a similar 3 - 0 job on Shams last year..

How have dundaaalk got 5 away wins? They were pure muck last night, and SK then takes the only player who looked like doing anything for them off, ward. Rovers should and could have won by three of four. Quigley's miss was a shocker.
On fridays game sligo really are turning into a total snide team, diving all over the place, faking injuries, time wasting in the first half and a general 70's Leeds type approach to away games.
I know the Hoops won't get close to the title this season, so I hope the fook Derry or Pat's do.

By scoring more then the opposition - that's how it works

I thought Shamrock Rovers looked much better last night, having not seen them play in a while. They were moving the ball a bit quicker and creating more chances than earlier in the season. Dundalk were poor enough but a lot of that seemed to be down to Rovers pressing them high up the pitch and preventing Towell from getting on the ball. Rovers are still lacking a bit in the final third, with none of the wingers really looking great in that formation and Sheppard was working hard but was doing a lot of running down the channels and wasn't in the penalty box often enough. There was quite a few occassions when crosses went into good areas of the box but there was no forward okayer there. Defensively McGuinnes makes a massive difference, they look far more solid when he plays, although there was still a couple of close shaves. This second series of games is really the acid test for Croly's managerial skills.

Bleeding dramaqueens. Refs aren't great here but any chance of a bit of perspective peeping through there?
There isn't a league in the world where clubs and fans don't moan about refs.

Ah com'n Dodge it was a blatant hand ball by Christy Fagan , made worse by the player appealing for a penalty and even worse again that Tom Connolly who was well positioned fell for it.

Where did I say it was the right decision? it wasn't handball by Fagan either. Just hit him. No penalty, no free.
But poor decisions happen in every league in the world. Calm down

If that ball hit Fagans he should get a ban imo. Getting the peno from a stupid referee is one thing, but appealing for it knowing it hit your had own hand is just blatant cheating and brings things to another weird level, even more than diving in the box.

Must have hit Prendergast's then? No striker would ever look for an advantageI doubt it Dodge, seeing as you have said it hit Fagan. Claiming a peno for a ball hitting your own hand, whether intentional or not, is bizarre, disgraceful and actually pretty embarrassing all at the same time. Some will call it trying to gain an advantage, most will call it being a cheating bas***d. Id give him 10 of 10 for originality, never seen that type of claim for a peno before.
