I know he is eligible for Ireland, but does anyone know how? And would anyone welcome him into the set-up? He has as much right as people like Jon Macken, I think. Plus he's good, unlike Macken.

I thought this was sorted, he's not eligible.

He's not eligible, this went around ages ago, and I was first informed by a boro-following mate of mine about 3 years ago. His great-great grandfather is from Cork, and he contacted the FAI to know if he was eligible. He's not and is now trying to force his way into the France squad - see here (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=228543&cpid=219&CLID=25&lid=&title=Franck+targets+France+call)

As I remember, which may be wrong his grandparents were eligable/were Irish passport holders, but not born in Ireland. So afterall, he wasn't eligable for Ireland.

OK fair enough. I was basing it on what Tyler said ages ago. I am not well versed on the Queudrue family affairs! And I was basing Macken's quality on his entire career, to be honest

They probably heard he tried to declare, and didn't hear the rest
