A fairly awful game in Finn Park tonight. Neither side looked like they wanted a win, or a goal. I certainly hope performance is a bit better next week. Two fairly poor performances in a row now.

Delighted with derry result tonight, goals are flowing at the moment with such a young team. Missing 4 quality players out injured as well. Cant recall a Derry team scoring 18 goals in first 7 matches of season before. Full praise to Deccy for building the confidence. Just wish the local fans would come to the home games more instead of watching that premiership pish week in week out. Next three games away to Dundalk, Home to Shams and away to Pats will be a stern test to see how much we have come on, but enjoying it while it lasts.

Entertaining tussle in OP with Dundalk very much on top over the 90 mins.Seems like Lims might have to spend another €1m on that back line that broke down as Dundalk got forward and nearly stole the game in the last 25 mins.
Dundalk dithererd up front for most of the match and never realy got going until those last 25mins but it wasn't to be but yet another great comeback from the Lilywhites.

Did i take a breath yet?

Dundalk have the pride back in their step but it could and should have been so much better.
Dundalk are back folks.

Disappointing from a Limerick point of vieq last night.

Never got going at all against a poor Dundalk side.

If we could have retaimed the ball a bit better we would have had all three.points but Curran was an even lonlier than usual soul.

So Dundalk had all the ball but created absolutely nothing it was all ping diagonal rush stuff (which can often be the way of it when you find yourself two down at home in fairness)

To concede from two set pieces (was the second one a direct result of the set piece? Id turned away at that stage) was criminal from our point of view, I reckon Dundalk would still be there trying to score from open play.

Need to crack open our massive chequebook in July for a commanding presence in midfield( gamble is too busy tearing around fighting fires... Often of his own making!!) and someone to support Curran (gaffney might yet do the job.)

Positive from last night is I'd put Dundalk into the "teams we can possibly finish ahead of" bracket.

Are you serious? 7 games in and Dundalk are back. The only reason Dundalk are in the premier is that the F.A.I bottled it last season when ye were the worst club in the division by a country mile. how many games did ye win last season, 4 was it? Fair enough ye have started this season well enough, if ye could play all ye're matches away from home ye might do even better but Dundalk will be lower mid-table at best!!

Great performance from us last night until injury time in both halves. Should really give us a bit of confidence after an awful start. But though the game was even enough overall, we have to be annoyed at not winning given the timing of the goals and the missed peno.

Haven't seen Cork all season obviously, so don't know if they were just poor on the day or not up to much in general.

I cannot agree Dundalk were a poor side. They retained possession very well and were constantly probing a Limerick side they were playing for the first time. A howler of a mistake from Rossiter and some indecision from Cherrie allowed Limerick to take a lead completely against the run of play.

In the second half Dundalk were more adventurous but susceptible on the break, resulting in Limerick's second goal.

Kenny made his usual astute substitutions, and went from a narrow four in midfield to playing with width. Limerick's midfield was too tired to cover this extending playing area and virtually surrendered possession of the ball to Dundalk for the balance of the game.

In the end, Limerick were fortunate to come away with a point.

It should be a good lesson for them, a game lasts 90 minutes and teams need plans b and c.

Agreed -It is ridiculous how the FAI keep bottling it and changing the rules.

League position should not count - Good dvds and number of butter vouchers submitted always the best way

It must be worrying for you that Limerick were second best against "a poor side".

You hardly need last nights match to realise that the mid table battle is likely to be between Dundalk, Drogheda, Cork and Limerick.

Of these 4 Dundak have made the best start and Limerick the poorest

I didnt see too much in Limerick last night to suggest we would finish below them. They're not a bad side, but I wouldnt rate them better than Pats, Cork or even Drogs, def not Rovers and Derry, so top 6 might be ambitious for them in the first season.

As per the point on us being the worst by a country mile last season, have no issues with that, as it was completely correct. Infact I said before it was so bad, that if Mons had not gone bust, we would have finished bottom. But we didnt, we finished in 11th place, and this meant a play off, which we comprehensively won.

There is no comparison between the side we had in 2011 v this one, and I think we should be still well positioned to finish in the top half, and 5th spot may even be achievable, if we can start winning games at home.

I like the PD this season, not a lot between sides in 3rd down to 7th, and anyone putting in a good run could challenge for a euro spot.

How Limerick get on in their next three games Bohs (H), Bray (A) and Shels (H) should give a good indication.

Derry and Sligo are the clear top 2 so far, Rovers have a bit of work to do to turn things around.

What's the story with Waterford United's bad start? Are they as poor as the table suggests or could last nights win be the start of a climb? They had a poor enough start last season as well. I'd have expected them to be challenging for promotion and even being top of the division.
