Richmond must be a certainty not to be playable again at this stage. Pity, think 5pm on Saturday with no english premier league on would have seen a big crowd there.

I can't see Pats going ahead. UCD maybe because it's a bit more elevated.

I had hope to go up to Dublin and take in the Pats v Bohs game tomorrow, would any of the Pats folk be able to give an opinion on the chances of it going ahead? It has dryed up here in the west with a strong wind blowing (which would help with drying out the pitch), but Inchicore has had problems with a waterlogged surface before, so it does not look good. Sad to see the Drogheda and Turkish friendly having to be called off.

I'd be shocked if our game v Derry was called off on Sunday, Turner's Cross pitch is raised above ground level and normally drains very well as surface water doesn't stick.

Our 19's game against UCD is off tomorrow. We were due to be on one of the other pitches at Belfield.

Hasn't been a Rovers game called off in the Showgrounds for ten years, don't see why tomorrow's would be.

Main concern will be our Champions flag staying on its pole. Pretty breezy.

I thought Oriel wasn't up to standard for European games anymore unless the astro got re-laid?

I know this - was planning on going to it otherwise. But surely the pitch doesn't get torn up, shouldn't stop Drogs.

Oriel remains Category 2 to the best of my knowledge, which is good enough to host underage internationals and the first two preliminary rounds of the Europa League.

As far as I know, it is available to them should they choose to use it.

Drogheda were very accommodating to Dundalk when the Oriel Park pitch was being redeveloped.

Oriel Park has 3,000 seats which is more suitable than Tallaght to the crowds Drogheda would be likely to attract.

In addition, it is only 20 minutes from Drogheda and they would be likely to get more neutrals from Louth to watch the games.

It'll be interesting to see how Sligo-Limerick goes tonight. I think O'Leary in midfield will be a big loss for Limerick, and Sligo are clear favourites but I wouldn't be rushing out to back them at 1/2...it's not impossible that Limerick could nick something.

Sorry that it's a bit long after what happened, but in answer to those who are asking why didn't they move the game to Oriel Park or somewhere else, I believe that the match was going to happen in Tallaght at request from the Turkish club, who demanded the match to be in Dublin because they didn't want to travel any longer than this, moving the match even further away from Dublin than Drogheda wouldn't make sense in this case.

24' - More sustained Rovers possession, and Keane in typical fashion breaks down the right. He shoots, but it will cause Irish Rail more trouble than it will to Barry Ryan.
