Is it correct that Bohemians, Derry City and Dundalk did not publish their squad numbers yet for the season 2013?

I cannot find them anywhere. While all the other teams have them published.

Tony has apparently been promoted to the first team but those numbers came from the programme from the Drogheda match on monday

Dundalk will have squad numbers, I'm sure. We have for the last 4 or 5 years. They should be mandatory in the top division anyway (if they're not already)

White Horse, thanks. That means I only miss Bohemians. Strange they don't publish their info.

@ Nigel - :) :) - Do you also have the normal jersey list of Finn Harps. Since also that one would make me happy !

Harps don't have squad numbers this season as far as I'm aware.

It's a bit ridiculous that some clubs can have squad names and numbers whilst others only have squad numbers. Either do it right or don't do it at all. Just a bugbear of mine.

Squad numbers need to be associated with a name, that the gist of how it works.

Are you possibly referring to shirts?

Things may have changed but I thought that clubs have had a tendency to publish numbers and swap them around during the season. Not talking about Bohs specifically.

Are squad numbers compulsory now? Used to be a mix of clubs who used them and who didn't.

It would be good if it was. That along with there being names on the back of the jerseys help make the league look more professional.

Limerick v Cork City was good in that regard. Not having the names on the back stands out as a bit Sunday league I think.

Not sure if they are, but I do think it should be compulsory for all PD sides to have names on the back of their jerseys. Especially with the 40 week contract that most clubs operate hence high turnover of players.

We don't have names and I found it annoying to see room was made for 'top fruit' only, surely the players name could have been added too.

Well that's the way it used to be until TV Producers starting asking for name to be printed. I think its a welcome change but won't knock anyone who doesn't use them.

Yeah, that's fair enough.

I'm a big LOI fan, but I, along with bad eyesight, am terrible remembering names and faces. I think it helps a little with fans that go to the odd game. I'm not saying names on the back of jerseys will heal all our ills, but every little helps.

As soon as they play a league game the Airtricity League site will have the squad numbers in the report.

Possibly the opposite - "you're going to have to share a number with someone else because we can't afford to get a jersey printed with your number"

Yes we have fully re-embraced the amateur ethos. The ref went along with the corinthian spirit and turned a blind eye for twenty minutes before he insisted on a jersey replacement and then another blind eye for Axel`s Henri like hand to ball juggling for the Limerick goal
