Colin Larkin for Ireland

People on this site keep talking about giving call-ups to obscure players from the lower divisions in England and from the EL so I'm going to add Colin Larkin to that list. He has been banging in the goals for Mansfield Town for the past few weeks. He was once with Wolves and I think he is only 22. Does anyone feel that he is a realistic prospect or do we have too many options up front at the moment?

Also, it's only right to give the nod to Kevin Nolan (top scorer for Bolton last season who are doing well now), Kevin Gallen ('experienced' QPR goalpoacher of many a year who declared his eagerness to play for Brian Kerr after the new FIFA eligibility regulation was introduced), Lee Trundle (a better option than Alan Lee, and no mistake!) and Robbie Ryan of Millwall. With a squad of players like this assembled, I think we could finally be in a position to really take the game to those b@stard Faroese...

Got a mate who is a Bristol City season ticket holder. Have been asking him about Heffernan. Said he'd love to give me an update but has hardly realised he's at the club. They expected big things but seems to be struggling to recover his form from last season.

This argument has been raised before and the all these players you mentioned are crap apart from nolan. Robbie Ryan doesn't play for Millwall anymore by the way.

What about Daryll Clare? Think he's with Chester these days. He had that mad celebration where he pulled a bar of chocolate out of his sock after he scored and started eating it! Has he any chance of making the Ireland squad? He was blowing his own trumphet about going to the World Cup two years ago.

if trundle and especially nolan are eligible, ..WHY THE **** ARE WE STILL PLAYING MORRISON!!! keane and nolan would be fanatastic up front for us! aisde from john macken, do we have a better player to play with keane in terms of being able to hold up the ball, which morrison is pants at dong, than nolan?

He is indeed, however, he has played for bolton on several occasions as an out and out striker, and also as an attackin midfielder tucked in just behind a lone striker.
