With Cobh in the clear, these should be a formality, but is it today the announcements will be made?

Here's how last year went for anyone who wasn't there

Pretty damn exciting

That was fantastic. It's an achievement to satirise this league to be honest, most of the time fact outweirds fiction.

There's only one certainty on licencing day.

Galway United Supporters Trusts application will not be considered !

That was fantastic Doge! Even for a Pats fan.

I remember laughing for several moments at the "rustic charm" description of Jackman. I hope you do it again this year Dodge.

The Doge of Inchicore indeed.

That was a great read.

There doesn't seem to be anyone in trouble this year.. a bit boring really. There's always a chance something will happen with Limerick of course. And they might throw Cobh out again just to mess with their heads.

Well last year we had Monaghan eventually... There's always a twist in the tale.

Limerick will probably whip out a Mont Blanc.

Bic or Staedtler only for the drones in Abbotstown.

Haven't been keeping track on what's been happening in the off season bar the goings on with Limerick. Are Cobh about to be brought into the league?

Shame on the former directors of Galway United, and anyone complicit in the club's demise.

Now while we have 20 clubs left, lets hope none of them crash mid-season

I'll start the bidding with Bohs. They usually start of the drama of a February with some tasty rumours emanating from Tallaght. :)

Though it'll be something out of left field like Athlone go boom due to the touch of the golden child.

Sure of course Bohs are finished, hasn't the insurance company black balled the pitch? ;)

Nothing to see here-

Dundalk Football Club can confirm that we have been granted a conditional Premier league licence.Over the past six months the process of transferring the club’s license to the new company in control of Dundalk FC has been on-going. This has been a very complicated process due to the uniqueness of this situation.
Dundalk Football Club has received a request from the independent licensing committee to provide one further piece of information to the licensing committee. This is a formality and will be concluded in the next 24-48 hours.
We’d like to thank all Dundalk fans for their continued support!

A certified transfer of ownership document is just required.

This will confirm the trading company that owns DFC has transfered from Gerry Matthews (company) to the consortium who took it over last season, majority partner is Fastfix (2011 and 2012 club sponsors) backed by DFC Trust.

"Dundalk have announced that they have received a full Premier Division licence, after satisfying FAI requirement"

So that's everyone sorted. After what happened last year with Monaghan we can be sure the process was extra rigorous this time round so we can all be confident that the league is on a stable footing now.
