Kennys contract

I've been reading stuff in the papers about the Bohs / Kenny affair... apparently in law a verbal contract is as good as a written one ... but if Kenny agreed a verbal contract with Longford why didnt they go the whole hog and get him to sign a written contract? Then they wouldn't have been in this mess today.

What do you all reckon is gonna be the outcome of all this?
