Carr just scored for Newcastle! What a screamer! It was from around 35 yards out to put Newcastle 2-1 up! :)

Yeah it was an absolute beauty alright. if he tried to that for ireland though chances are the corner flag wouldn't be standing

I don't think Carr's Ireland form is as bad as people make out. He had a bad game against the Swiss but I can't remember him playing badly before that.

Duff is the only player that has more assists than him for Ireland under Kerr.

Was just going to say the same thing. I thought, for example, he was outstanding when he came on against Bulgaria and as you said, he's set up goals for us.

And he wasn't exactly the worst player against the Swiss.
