In light of a recent discussion in the Jim Goodwin (http://foot.ie/threads/25859-Jim-Goodwin?highlight=goodwin) thread about performance enhacing drugs in Spanish football, I stumbled across this article (http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2013/02/04/primera/1359939333_219986.html) (in Spanish) today, in which an ex-Real Sociedad president appears to admit using club funds to buy doping products for 6 years.
More here (http://foot.ie/threads/167888-Spanish-player-on-drugs).

That's no surprise. It's been in every single sport. You could probably literally find ping pong players from China that doped. Im serious, table tennis is very competitive there.

Hopefully Spain's Euro2012 results get wiped a la Armstrong's TdeF wins did and we no longer have the record of worst Euros performance ever.....
I'd eat my hat if several Spanish players aren't in the Operacion Puerto files. The Spanish anti-doping authority has no interest in releasing them though. Just the cyclists'.
ts naive beying believe to think its only Spanish player involved, or even only the best who dope. Look at Vilas-Boas recent comments about how they got Defoe back form injury so quickly.
if you've an interest in drugs in sport, this article (US based) is a must read;

I can remember Cascarino admitting he and other players at his then French club received injections of an unknown substance before every game.
He also revealed that during his time at Marseille, he and many other of the club's players were injected by club president Bernard Tapie's personal physician with an unknown substance. The physiotherapist at the time insisted the substance was legal and would provide an "adrenaline boost". Cascarino claimed that most players accepted the injections[9] and that "it definitely made a difference: I felt sharper, more energetic, hungrier for the ball
